Founders Double Trouble Is Here!

Just picked some up at my local shop with a 6/15/14 bottle date. Never had it before so really excited to try it out.

 

On vacation in Florida, but can report no sightings here yet. Happy to see Old Crummugeon still on the shelves, though!

 

I haven't seen this in the lower part of VA yet. I remember seeing last years in April?

 

I think they used all the hops for all day. Tasting more malt forward than past...

 

What prices are you seeing? I posted a thread for a price check because I found it last week @ $28.50 / make your own six-pack but the thread was unceremoniously deleted. I believe because I mentioned the pizzeria that pulled this crap by name but not sure. Anyhow, what did you get it at? Thanks.

Yeah we live right next to the state and still havent seen this!! Anyone know when Cleveland/Akron is supposed to see it?

Just saw it at my fav tap room as I was picking up dinner. If only I hadn't drank so much last night.

 

yeah this year's is definitely malt-forward. still a good beer, but - as a hophead - I find it to be a pretty significant drop-off from the years prior :/

 

I can only dream about having such a precise memory on how hoppy a particular beer was years ago, that I can try one this year and declare that the brewer has done something to make it less hoppy and more malty. This of course would have nothing to do at all with my memory, changes of my palate, recent food/drink i've consumed, my mood, my expectations, etc.

 

I was finally able to pick up a 4pk in my local store yesterday. The bottle date is 6/17/14. I'm looking forward to enjoying one tonight. I hope my cold stays at bay...

 

Found some in Akron, Ohio today. Same bottle date (06/17/14).

 

Finally found some on Long Island. Got one in the freezer as we speak.
