You will be fine. Use the beer finder. http://www.newglarusbrewing.com/index.cfm/beers/beerfinder

    Enjoy the beer!

Let us know how the Oud Bruin is tasting! Can't wait until it actually gets out next week.

I think they're changing their tune on hoppy beers. I feel like Moon Man has undergone a bit of tweaking this year and tastes better than ever. And growing/using their own hops seems to have inspired Dan on Scream IIPA. Even if they claim to not like hoppy beer, they most certainly like the fact that it will sell out while fresh and give them a bump in sales right at the time the coolship is moving into full production. If hoppy beer sales will allow Dan to play with his sours/fruitbeers/old world styles, then they will almost certainly continue to brew them.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I can't imagine them actually pulling the beers from the shelves. There are times when they start to get scarce (or maybe they run out of cherries again), but we were able to get all 4 styles all winter long with no problems.

If any Chicagoans are headed to grab some oud bruin I would gladly pay you for a case or what ever I could get, I've got a sick little girl and can't make the trip as planned.

I'll bet you can find someone. Looks like bottles will hit distribution this week, so they should be on supermarket/bottleshop shelves by next week.

Interesting Scream IIPA experience: While my local grocery store has plenty on the shelf, I've had trouble finding it at some bottle shops that I usually go to.

Otto's either hasn't gotten any or has already sold out.

Kensington hasn't gotten any, but they also have a shelf packed with Apple Ale & Spiced Ale, so maybe their distro guy just hasn't put any on their order yet.

Ray's had a ton, as do most Pick n Save's around town.

I venture to guess that Oud Bruin will sit on shelves at any location that isn't a bottle shop. I plan on buying mine at Pick n Save, unless I can get a price break on a full case at a bottle shop.

They don't pull it as far as I know. These beers are so easy to find, I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Spotted Cow sales allow Dan to do whatever he likes, including the brewing of Spiced Ales that sit forever.

True enough. Not sure what inspired the Spice Ale. But plenty of legendary bands have released crappy records.

You'd think after the first was a flop he would scrap it. Nope, brew another!

I was there today as well. Stopped in the beer depot about 3pm to grab some Oud Bruin and the store employee there told me it had sold out earlier today. Guess I'll have to wait until it hits in MKE. Bought a bunch of new NG glassware to drink from when I do get it!

She did say they will be getting more in at the Beer Depot next week, but yeah it seems demand is going to be very high for this one.

Demand will be high, but the beer depot doesn't reload on the weekends.

Distributors have the bulk of it, I wouldn't worry too much. As long as no one goes in and buys multiple cases it should be fine.

Too bad many people on this forum will be doing just that....Oh well. We often talk about what is hoarding or buying too much of a beer, in my opinion, no one needs a case(es) of any limited release beer

If it were extremely limited, the beer depot wouldn't be selling it by the case. It would have been released as a depot-only R&D. They do want to create some demand, but this beer will make it out into the world.

I bought a case of the wild sour ale and it was gone in a month. I drank the hell out of that beer, I loved it so much. It's not like hoarding a case of imperial stout where it sits in a basement for 5 years.

I know what you mean. Just saying that with the clear hype behind this beer, people may very well buy a case to drink on their own and a case to trade out of state. Being 22 and seeking a real job with a college degree I'll be happy with one/two 4 packs which won't be hard to find. But this beer will certainly dissappear quickly
