@Rotero24 is in the lead with 3 PTS and was the only person who had Higuain as the 1st goal scorer for this match ... homeboy is bossing it!

 

Wow! So that's 9 for him to 5 for the next group... if someone in the group with 5pts gets the line score right with Belgium winning, they'll be tied with him (I know I have Belgium winning, not sure about any of the others)

So @UcDru, @PA-Michigander, @Kramerbarthomer have Argentina (as does @Rotero24) so they will have a hard time catching him, but @tommyguz (3-1), @Spinaltapped (2-2) and I (2-1) have Belgium, so if Belgium wins, depending on the final score, one of us will probably be tied with @Rotero24 at 9 points and everyone else will be pretty far back

 

Just to clarify.... the match still isn't over... how does he have 3 pts today?? I thought you got 3 pts for the correct score, 1 pt for the winner, and 1 pt for the correct goalscorer? Just checking. Specifically cuz I had this match 1-0 with Argentina and I thought I'd get 4 points here... but he would only get 2 pts.... assuming this score holds up (he predicted 2-1 Argentina)... Just wanted to make sure I read the rules right... Great match. Cheers all....

@Rotero24 started today with 8 pts already, he's got 1 by guessing the correct first scorer. If your score holds up, you get 4 points and he'd get 2 today, taking his 8 to 10 and your 5 to 9, he'll still be ahead going into the Netherlands/Costa Rica match.

 

Ohhhhh.... he was in the lead BY 3 pts going into today... not WITH 3 points... I interpreted this wrong... no worries. just checking. Cheers guys! This is fun!

We have reached the 2/3rds mark and things have really reached a fever pitch with our little WCQF-mini-BIF:

@Rotero24 still remains on top with a huuuuge call on Gonzalo Higuain to score 1st in the Argentina v Belgium QF. Despite a dominant performance so far, Rotero24 is facing stiff competition. Most notably from @Kramerbarthomer who has predicted 2 exact score lines in a row to come out of no where to be nipping at our leaders heels.

Here is where we stand with 1 match left:

Well, I knew going in that my bracket really depended on the gamble I took with Belgium... I just dropped from 5th to 34th with their loss, and with Spain already out, I'm pretty sure there's no coming back from that. Being on top of the leaderboard was fun while it lasted.

 

Where do we stand on minutes for first goals?

 

I'm in DC and not following too closely but someone with a low number has to be killing it.

 

If there is a goal in the first 57 min of this match, @Bjohnston will win.
