So I am heading down to TN tonight with the wife and kids, but will be staying in Harrisburg this evening. Can anyone recommend some decent restaurants that are both craft beer and family friendly? I spent some time looking through the places section on here, but most seemed to be bars and not good for kids. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Are you staying downtown or outside the city? Makes a big difference. Most of the places downtown are in fact bar's so not the best places for kids. I would say The Sturges Speakeasy will probably be your best bet. Good food and a solid beer selection and it's a restaurant as apposed to a bar.

You can probably get away with going to the Federal Taphouse if you get there before the drinking crowds starts rolling in, plus it is within easy walking distance. Prices are a little high and their service is usually a joke but the food and beer are good. If your going out a little later than I would stick with Sturges Speakeasy since it is away from the fray, not a really long walk but not right down the street either.

Did the speakeasy. Nice spot. Thanks for the recommendation
