New Glarus upcoming beers and other info

I hear you. I think I bought 5-6 4-packs of Wild Sour last summer, managed to cellar about 6 bottles. With these 4-packs my rule of thumb is to cellar 1 bottle from every 4-pack. I think Woodman's gives a discount on cases, so that might actually be the way to go. And for each guy who buys a case right off, it will free up the supply that hits other shops in the comng weeks.

That's fine, you're right, but considering what forum we are all registered on we all have a great interest and want for many new/great craft beers. We don't need beer to survive, but given this as a hobby/interest it makes sense

 

Scream initially sold out in the beer depot, too. I think we should be ok.

 

Yeah- I'm sure NG themselves are not sold out of OB, they don't always re-stock on the weekend, especially a holiday weekend.

Don't be surprised if it hits bottle shops & Woodman's in Madison tomorrow.

Discount in MKE says they'll get it this week, but not tomorrow. Usually takes us 2-3 after Madison to get Thumbprint beers. So there's a good chance it'll get delivered in Madison tomorrow. Sometimes a holiday pushes distributors back a day, though.

I say call ahead. Nothing is more frustrating than going into a shop and being told, "Yeah, we just got that but it isn't in our system yet." Can I put it in your system for you?

 

putting it in the system means nothing, its more like, our beer guy or distributor doesnt want us to sell it yet, or they are just pure lazy.

 

When my local Woodmans can't find it in the system, they ask me how much it was listed for on the shelf. I can pretty much make up a price on the spot, but I'm sure they know the price of NG 4 packs.

 

I have a local shop that just doesn't like to sell it if it isn't in their system, and they aren't the best at actually receiving their purchase orders. I've stood there for 10-15 minutes while they tried to determine the price and get it into the system.

I'm cooped up all week in southern illinois, any friendly fellow from a border town or in the great state of wisconsin wanna do a fella a solid and get me a 4 pack or two. I have some nice beers to trade, including some historical NG Beers like wild sour, cherry stout, barleywines, anniversary's and berliners. Also since I'm from chicago I have DL, KBS, and BN out the wazoo.

 

I'm in Lake Geneva. I can certainly grab some for ya.

 

As for MKE distro, my brewery rep said Beechwood has 55 cases and a 5 case max allotment for their accounts. I don't even know if I can get 5 and I work for Sendiks.

 

Just called Woodmans in Keno and the women told me it won't be released until the end of July. I can only speculate she said that because she doesn't want a billion calls about when it's arriving...I really hope that's a lie
