    I'm not sure how to feel about your extensive knowledge of Zipp's distribution schedule. On the one hand it is very useful information while on the other it is quite creepy. :confused:

    Surdyks just got it in and the dampf is incredible,reminds me a lot of cynicale with the ripe banana taste

    Hah! Back when I worked retail, East Side (now J.J. Taylor) dropped Monday and Thursday at the packies right along the river, so I was guessing. I have no idea what weird or creepy* antics they are up to now.


    (* What's creepier than my knowledge of J.J. route schedules or the water problems at Cold Spring? Sitting next to the owner of Cold Spring on a plane ride -- I think that rates. So does hanging out at the last "Beerguy Brad" keg basheroo, surrounded by a buncha Cellars dudes. Super-creepy!)

    I forgot all about this pack until today, when I randomly saw it at my local liquor store (Mcknight liquor off 11th street and McKnight road in North Saint Paul).

    Princeton's has it. For some stupid reason I passed. And now while I'm drinking an IPA I'm wishing I had some Schell's hefeweizen! Whoops.

    So far, the dampfbier was great. Just enough phenols to warrent it's place in this pack, but not so much that it hides the fact that it is an all barley-malt beer.

    Tried them all and have to say that the modern hefe was the class of the bunch. Was really disappointed with the weizenbock. I rated them hefeweizen (2014)>Damfbier>1984>Weizenbock.

    Hefeweizen (2014)
    1984
    Dampfbier
    Weizenbock
