The shear demand. A couple of the stores I went looking for it at sold out the day they got it. Demand is far outstripping supply at this point for many of these beers. We are getting closer to an equilibrium but I think we are still a ways off.

I said the same thing about 512 WBADPP a couple years ago. I realize it is a "rare" and "limited" release. There will be a huge demand for them. I get that people are willing to drive all over town to get multiple bottles. Demand is there. The price will follow demand. Get the price high enough and the demand will go down. A perfect example is 512's ceramic bomber 5. The beer was really good at their anniversary party but for the price, I sure as heck wasn't going to try and find a second bottle.

Yeah, I disagree. If not stay the same, the demand will go down as well as price. By then there's no telling what else we'll have to choose from, not to mention experience from all of these new "beer geeks" we have. They'll realize that they can get better barrel aged beers for less and that will come to a quick halt IMO. I also understand that there is a want to promote local, growing breweries (and I try to do so as well), but there is a limit to how much they can charge us and they're at that point. $1 an ounce? That is just way too high.

But hey, if I'm wrong you can come back and neener me.

Had a bottle last night. Bourbon is just right in this one. Complements instead of overwhelming. Quite tasty, IMO. Better than last year's batch.

Yeah, no comparison. MUCH better than last year.
