Oh absolutely. Belgian Red and Raspberry Tart end up in my cart once in a while too.
I've probably traded well over 100 of those bottles since people go crazy over them. The one thing that sucks about WI is that beer is cheap, so I send out a box 2-3 times as big as what I receive, haha.

August seems awfully early for Apple Ale. Unless they are using apples from last year's harvest, which seems unlikely to me.

Love Hometown Blonde, though, and welcome it at any time.

I keep telling people in Madison and Milwaukee, TG is to be had in greater numbers if you explore some botleshops in SW and Central Wisconsin on your summer vacations this year. They're brewing a lot more beer this year, and some of it is sitting in small-town shops for up to a week. Not like the rat race we see in MKE & MAD.

I really liked it. I think it tastes exactly like Serendipity without the berries.

I think it's fine. I drink 1-2 bottles a year. But the wife loves it so that makes me happy.

Hometown blonde is one of my favorites, LOVE that beer. I will be buying a case.

I was surprised to see Apple Ale so early too, but it was on a sell sheet for New Glarus, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Apple Ale is solid and probably the best Apple Ale I've ever had, but I certainly wish they would at least rotate it. IMO it does not warrant a yearly release, there are probably a dozen other Thumbprints I would rather see pop up every year. Apparently most people disagree. I can only assume that it receives a butt-ton of votes in their yearly beer ballot. Also, I agree it does seem early for the Apple Ale release, I guess they're getting all their apples from South America this year? lol

As a side note, I picked up a few 4-packs of Oud Bruin at Liquor Central in the Dells tonight after work.

I look forward to blending it with the Cranbic.
I assume the Cranbic will be released in November.

My Wisconsin brothas. I will be visiting Lake Dubay at the end of this month. I believe Stevens Point is the closest town with the Walmart and all that good stuff that we usually stop at. A couple questions.

Will Scream DIPA still be around at the end of the month?

What NG beers do you guys recommend that will be around at the end of the month? Also any store suggestions for where to stop would be appreciated. We usually just stop at Walmart but I would like to hit a store with a better selection.

Not really a guessing type of guy, but I'd say that's a good one.

Hey- any of you guys still seeing Dubbel on the shelves? Seems strange that Spiced Ale and a few Apple Ale are still hanging around, there might still be bit of Berliner left if not for the recall, but the Dubbel seemed to fly off the shelves.

I thought it was a great beer, but not a wildly popular style. Maybe it was a smaller batch.

Just thought of that when I was in the cellar today. I have a single Dubbel bottle left and wouldn't mind picking up another 4-pack to save for next year. Anybody seen any in MKE?

Can't speak for MKE but the deer depot had more than plenty of it for sale when I was there about a week ago. I don't think it was a smaller batch than others. I've also seen it in Beloit recently. I realize I'm not answering your question but think you should be able to find it if you keep looking. Cheers!

Whenever I talk about it when setting up a trade, nobody seems that interested. Then I send a bottle and it ends up being better than the beer they were looking for.

I'll be coming through WI via Chicago pretty soon and I don't know Black Husky. Is it available on most liquor store shelves, and if so, what do you recommend I try?

Husky is amazing. Pick anything hoppy. Think sparkly eyes is coming out soon. That beer is a monster. I got a surprise for those of you that will be drinking in Madison on the 8th of august too...

It's at Discount Liquor and Ray's in MKE, also I believe a couple places in Kenosha have it (Tenuta's?). @blackhusky can give you better info on where they currently sell it, but I can tell you everything they make is excellent, definitely buy the Pale Ale, which is my favorite Black Husky beer. I also recommend trying Sproose, delicious and very unique, and if there is Howler available, get that as well (reminds me of Hopslam as a reference).
