New Glarus upcoming beers and other info

Allotted to shops? Sure. But I still don't think they will run out before folks who want it get it.

 

Made two stops tonight: B&B in Wind Lake and Discount Liquor Milwaukee - both had plenty and were selling by the case if you so desired.

 

Definitely seems to be a wide variety of shop policies on this one, some with no limits, some with just a 4 pack a person. Woodman's west Madison was cleared out in just a few hours (I assume they had no limit) which seemed to confuse the employees who ensured me it should still be back there.

 

Soooo is Kenosha Woodman's sold out or not? I'm heading up there either way later today, I guess I'll find out for myself. Anywhere else in the area I should check? How expensive is the Cheese Castle? I haven't shopped for beer there in probably 5 years. Any grocery stores in the area I should hit? Can I find Black Husky Howler anywhere in town?

 

I too am interested in prices at the Cheese Castle. Haven't bought beer there in several visits due to the markup attached. $14.99 for a 4-pack of OB? $15.99?

 

If Woodman's is out, I'll swing up there just to check the prices. And maybe get some cheese...

 

I believe it is $81/case OTD there, so $13.50/4pk. I'm guessing it's priced at $12.99.

 

I am literally standing in woodman's Kenosha pondering whether to pull the last four 4-packs from the cooler in addition to the last opened case I grabbed from the display. This is all they have the guy told me.

Sigh, I'll be a nice prick and leave them for you vultures. Hurry the fuck up though.

 

13.50!!!!? I just bought a case a Fitchburg Hy-vee 9.99 per. They had 1.5-2.5 cases left. Feeling lucky.

 

There is plenty of this beer around MKE as of yesterday. Just gotta drive a bit further North than Kenosha.

 

Don't give the rest of the FIBs any more ideas. Woodman's was my spot since '02, someone previously spilled Tenuta's (they'll have it Friday, I'm not going back up so you're welcome), but let's not encourage any further traveling. Kenosha is the border-jumping limit.

 

Also, to blow smoke at the numbers game: guy at Woodman's said they got a whole pallet, 49 cases, on Tuesday. Gone as of whenever anyone grabs those last 4 4-packs. He even checked the back for me since I merely wanted a box and 'didn't want to take their display'.

My guess is if that is true, that's gotta be their only drop, right?

 

49 cases sold between Tuesday and this morning? That's ridiculous. It's early enough in the game that they can probably re-order another shipment next week if they get on it today.

It's much more available up North. Come to MKE. Spend money here. Lord knows we need it.

any insight into how I should pronounce Oude without sounding like an idiot? Though I know none of the shops I am about to call will be able to call me out on it anyway... is it Oo-duh Broo-in? O-duh Broo-in?

 

I'd happily mule/trade 4-packs of Daisy Cutter (or Akari Shogun, Pony, etc.) for 4-packs of Oude Bruin if anyone in Kenosha wants to grab several for me. Up to a case.
