No updates from Fed Ex since July 2nd

    I am expecting a package from a trader I've dealt with before.

    His shipment was well packaged up, and was making its way to me for a July 2nd delivery date. It still hasn't shown up. It hit a location in OR and there has been no updates since. No exceptions, no return to sender, nothing.

    I called in and they said that the shipper was going to have to call in. He has and he told them it was "bottles" and that they contained "liquid." Nothing about beer, no Olive oil or BBQ sauce excuse.

    What is likely to happen here? Are they going to go and try find the package and open it? IF they do, what then?

    If they find the package and it is in fine shape, they'll probably just ship it. But, after a week plus with no updates, my guess is that package is gone.

    If they never find it, they'll likely pay a reimbursement. But, if it has been damaged and they found beer inside, they will often just toss the box. They should send notice but I've had it happen before where I had to call several times bf they finally told me it was damaged but beer was found.

    I recently had a package where they believe the label fell off which is hard to believe but could happen. In the beginning stages of applying for a refund.
