Mid-June Bottle Share PDX?

    Hey guys (and girls!),
    Wanted to lob this idea out there because I'm graduating from PSU with a Bachelors in biology (early June) and will be attending The Siebel Institute for their brewing program next winter. I have been holding on to a hand full of great bottles that I would love to share with some local BA's. I haven't contacted the guys over at BeerMongers yet but was intending to use that as the location for the share. If anyone is interested, I would love to get some feedback on what date might be best to lock down so that I can get in touch with those guys and create the event! I'm assuming Saturdays and Sundays are best for most but I don't want to overlap with other events that might be going on either! Feel free to contribute and i can even open up a GoogleDoc if necessary.

    Hi Eric,

    Beermongers popularity has pretty much ruled out Saturday (or Friday for that matter) bottle shares. I would be game for most any time, but would prefer if you stayed away from PDX Beer Week events. Even if you find a day that week that would work I imagine my wife would prefer I am home at least one night that week!

    Yeah, it might be best to bump it near the end of the month to avoid conflict with PDX beer week. I'm obviously open to suggestions for other venues as well.

    I have never been to a PDX bottle share, but would love to join and contribute. Not that I will solely influence any decision, but I can only attend after June 23rd.

    I could be wrong, but I think Bridgetown Beerhouse has been used for a bottle share in the past. I haven't attended many of the organized BA bottle shares since they usually land on Sundays and I work then. If Saturday works best for everyone I'm sure I can make this one and toast your college success!

    I could find something interesting for this depending on the day. The 23rd would work pretty well for me (but not the 24th since I'll be at the Timbers-Sounders match) if we could find a location.

    The 17th would work for me. I realize it's the last day of PBW, and so maybe not the best day, but I guess that would depend on whether or not anyone plans to attend the final two events of the week.

    I could likely bring some interesting stuff out from the East Coast.

    I'm not sure I understand.... It's a spreadsheet that has been used for BA tastings for the last two years. You can see the dates at the bottom of the spreadsheet. A tab is created for every new tasting that is public on BA. It's no biggie, I was just sharing for those who were unaware.

    No, my fault, I was just being stupid. Thanks for the heads up, I guess now that i have one open ill just stick with it and add it to the master spreadsheet later.

    Ok, so I think the plan here is to secure the date of the 23rd (June) for this bottle share. I know that some people can't come on that day and some can but I really just need to secure a day. Sorry if this interferes with anyones schedule!
