6/17 date - $11.99 in Charlotte. Not too shabby. Looking forward to trying it.

Ryan & Casey in Greenfield, but don't quote me, that was weeks ago and I can barely remember what I had for breakfast today. I just have this image of it in their cooler at $16.99 per four. Too cheap to have been Devil Dancer, which looks a lot different anyway. If it was not an hallucination or a nightmare, I'm sure that no matter what the price was it's all gone by now.

We got some in Ann Arbor a few weeks back, but it came and went quickly. I assume we'll get a second shipment soon.

Had my first just now. Delicious beer! Balanced but super hoppy. Tastes like an amped up version of fresh Centennial IPA (floral, spice) with a bit of other hop flavor.

Where in the Mitten are you at? Definitely not around Ann Arbor area with that kind of pricing.

I'm jelly, paid $3.69 for a single bottle two weeks back

For anyone still searching, Founders updated their mobile Beer Finder app. You can now search for specific beers, including limiteds like Double Trouble. Cheers

I think the point isn't that people don't remember the prior taste. But rather that in all the factors involved in the perception of taste, it's a little narrow-minded to believe it was the BEER--which is brewed to a highly specified recipe via a stringent and consistent process--that changed, rather than something about your perception of the beer.

It's not about questioning the skill of one's tastebuds. It's about tons of factors influence the perception of taste--including things like mood, or recent tasting history, etc. There are many phenomena having to do with palate change--fatigue, burn out, etc.. Doesn't it seem more likely that the drinker, rather than the drink, that has changed?

For what it's worth, I think DT tastes roughly the same this year as it has in year's past. It's certainly not different enough that I can detect said difference through all the "white noise" created by the passage of a year, the many beers I've had since then and the subsequent evolution of my palate. I feel like to stand out amongst all those factors, it would have to be significantly different. That said, I'm sure there are plenty of people with better taste memory and more honed palates than mine.
