I think I'm down to three senders still. Guess I'll just be surprised when it gets here. I may hold off sending mine off til after the weekend. Might be making a trip to WI and we'll see if they'll have a beer or two that I'd rather send instead of the 6 I have.

this is why I am becoming addicted to these threads ... and my main man on the poetic 1s and 2s, Mr @kgncfl captures this spirit like no other!

Keith took the time from his prose to put together the final box in our '6 pack/growler/slama-dama-do-dah' trade, and the guy included some heart warming soul tickling and smile inducing extras! Keith has made sure that I will be cracking a Heady sometime next week (or early the following if shes late) welcoming my 1st daughter into the world!

but fear not my target, I have not forgotten about you. Still shipping on Monday 7/14, and have added some clues for you

Hint #1 - this 6pk is headed north!
Hint #2 - there will be 6 brews. there will be well over 72oz! (and crab chips - have to have crab chips in the summer)
Hint #3 - My target is not @@kgncfl, but he has a 6 pack from me waiting on his porch!
Hint #4 - I have never been in this state, but have visited a major university in a neighboring state's capital city
Hint #5 - Target, I hope you're excited to try Double Duckpin
Hint #6 - I am going to ship next Monday 7/14 - I need to get some brewery only growler fills, and my target does not have any shipping date restrictions ... if the baby comes before than - I will nix the growler and pummel porch with cellar goodies!
Hint #7 - My 1 non local that I am including is on my targets 'want' list but is also on his 'had' list.
Hint #8 - There is a beer receptacle pictured above that looks a lot like something you will receive.
Hint #9 - Y U NO HAVE human in avatar?
Hint #10 - I hope you have a garden working, bc I am sending you a wheelbarrow

Oh OK -- there IS at least one brewery I know of pretty close to Orangeburg, NY -- I just couldn't imagine anyone going there on vacation.

I had you pegged a while ago but seemed to have two others I was unsure. From this I seem more sure you are it. Which more wheelbarrow is awesome. Love that stuff.

Fat Head's Sunshine Daydream (Session IPA) - Have had some stuff from Fat Head's before that I've really liked, so pretty happy to see this.
Brew Kettle Old 21 (Imperial IPA) - Had the White Rajah at GABF last year and like it quite well, so definitely interested in trying something else from Brew Kettle.
Sideswipe Pixelated Sun (Hoppy Wheat) - Probably the beer that's most intriguing me out of the lot. Only 3 reviews on BA and it looks like the initial opinion is drastically different from the initial checkins on Untappd. In the fridge at the moment and will almost certainly be drunk tomorrow night. Just trying to figure out if I'm sharing it with friends or not
Brew Kettle White Rajah (IPA) - Had this before and liked it, but it was at GABF so who knows what was actually going on with my taste buds/sobriety level at the time. Really interested in trying this again.
Goose Island The Illinois Imperial IPA - Pretty sure we get this around here and I just haven't gotten around to trying it. Now I will!
Rivertown Jenneke (Belgian-style Blonde) - Belgian Blonde? Now that sounds like a summer beer.

Definitely looking forward to these! To my target: I hope to get my box out tomorrow or Saturday. I know that isn't ideal but I'm really only around my beer Friday-Sunday, so that's how it is

Awesome man... is there any Utopias left? I'd send you a label just for a little nip of it... (emptied and cleaned baby food jar, for example)

I can't bring myself to drop $200 on a bottle of Utopias... Its just too much.

I had Utopias at FoBAB last year and was pretty damn impressed by it. For being almost 30% it was really smooth and tasted a lot better than I thought it was. But yeah, that $200 price tag is a bit out of social status :stuck_out_tongue:

Splurged on a bottle one time with a buddy. Did enjoy it especially on a cold winter night with a cigar. Definitely something worth doing once.

1 bottle of Utopias or Springhouse Barrel Reserve Society? Guess which I chose.

Only somewhat related to this thread (since at least one of the beers that I'll be including and at least one of my target's wants are included), but it was a pretty decent trip up to the Pacific NW...

    Nice.

My local is doing a Grey Friday(they usually have a big limited beer release on Black Friday). So, I'm hoping to get a growler of Cherry Rye this afternoon.

They have a decent selection of bottles being released.(backyard, BCBBW, XVII, parab, sucab, merkin, KBS) but they go out at noon, so I doubt there will be any scraps left for me.

Neither, because Springhouse's barrel program is unproven and the beer might not be very good .... at least this is what I went with and I'm definitely regretting it...

How would Cherry Rye on tap last longer than parabola etc bottles?

To my sender, I just realized today that FedEx appears to be redirecting any shipments to my old address (forgot to change my address on their delivery customization). If you are shipping with FedEx could you send me the tracking number so I can be sure to have them hold it at the FedEx office.
