Hi, all. I have a friend in Detroit right now on her way to Chicago. I got two questions:

Can Short's be found in Detroit easily?

And any chance of Key Lime Pie still being on the shelves if it can be?

I have a friend that will be in Grand Rapids tomorrow. Any idea on the availability of this or the Cinnabilly?

There is plenty of Key Lime to go around at my local grocery store still.

Popped open a few more Short's beers from the cellar last night.....

Evil Urges- any trace of alcohol is gone! (I though it was a bit hot when fresh). Really nice dark fruit harmony with slight spice to keep it in check.

Gingersnap- Was not a fan of this beer over the winter. However, the sweet molasses on this has faded and allowed the ginger to really come through with the grain bill. This tastes much, much more like Gingerbread Cookies right now than it did fresh.

Anniversary Ale (2012)- good lord. Fresh squeezed Blood Oranges still! Peppercorn mellowed a tad, but still present in the finish.

Have yet to find a drain pour in any Short's beer I have aged, ever. No matter the style.

Shorts and drain pour should never belong in the same sentence.

I would say it can definitely still be found. I never see much of the special releases at meijer but if she looks at a nice bottle shop (Mega Bev in battle creek/Marshall/or Kalamazoo would be great options off of 94) I'm sure u could find key lime, cinnabilly, and a lot of the recent shorts releases.

Will Key Lime still be around in the Ann Arbor area by the weekend of the fest?

Sorry Cbusssted, he's right. Seems like most shops are down to a few single bottle strays. If you're looking for some that weekend though hit me up, I have a few packs and can probably meet you somewhere.

Just had my first Key Lime of the year this weekend and sadly wished I would have hunted down a few more. I know time does wonders to my memory but surely does seem like the best batch I have had yet.
