Similar to when Miller Lite stated that their beers were "triple hopped". And yet, where's the hop flavor and aroma???

Does anyone else remember when Miller Lite branded itself as a "True Pilsner Beer"? The throwback cans (original and the current reproduction) even have "Fine Pilsner Beer" written on them...

It's all relative. Many do think it is a "fine pilsner"...infact, if sales are any indication...it must really be "fine".

Every radio station in town, every town, boast "number one", "most listened to", "most music"...what they leave out is the fine print...all the demographics they use to back up their claims...smoke & mirrors.

Consumers beware, you are in charge of your own destiny...personally, I like it that way!

No, what I'm posting about is the fact that the-ritas are entered into the BA database as American Malt Liquor. (Which they clearly are not.)

    No? I referred to that:
I'd call that a "mistake", rather than a "lie" (your term) or "false advertising" (OP's term). And, as drtth wrote above:

I was in Trader Joe's once and they sold me a bottle of "Boatswain Double I.P.A." without clearly indicating on the bottle that it was actually stale monkey piss.

Maybe it's just me but I consider Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale much more of an IPA than a Pale Ale

I go to the brewery site, and the say its both because the distinctions are in fact blurry as which is to what, and who really means it because the styles are both bottom fermented.

For reference, if you've seen @JackHorzempa complain about contracting brewing, I'm pretty sure this brewery is why.
That was my first thought too, nothing about "pilsner" requires it to be high quality.
This has been my strategy ever since discovering how much worse Yuengling "Premium" is compared to Yuengling.

Honestly, I am feel like oftentimes things that use terms like 'deluxe' are anything but (e.g. premium lagers et al.).

6 pack of 16 oz cans was 7.99. Actually I was at my cousin's birthday party today and they had quite a few beers there and I saw Miller Lite said Pilsner on the can and I never even realized that before.

Eh to me it was much more smoother and easy drinking than some bitter IPA.

Lionshead is like $8 for a 12 pack. Not even the most overpriced New York city restaurant would have the nerve to charge $8 a bottle of Lionshead.

how about boasting that your (labeled and sold as) American IPA won a GABF medal, but it didn't win it in that category?

I've seen 2 draft beer lists at Vermont eateries that advertise Lawson's "Sip of Sunshine IPA" as a Vermont beer, when in fact it is brewed in CT at Two Roads brewery. I love Lawson's beer, and I think Sip of Sunshine is a solid IPA, but it is NOT made in Vermont in small handcrafted batches.
