Black Butte XXVI

Finally a true breakfast beer. I've been drinking coffee with my waffles all these years.

 

After all, you can't drink all day if you don't start with breakfast

 

Has anyone seen this in Illinois yet? If so where?

 

Apparently, we should keep a lookout in mid-July, when they do their "Official launch" party events/tastings/shenanigans. They're gonna be at Steve's on July 15th, and Riley's on July 16th, if you're in the Madison area.

 

I heard this beer pairs well with Great White Shark Steaks topped with a mung bean and cranberry glaze and a side of poached T-Rex eggs.

 

Just hit Colorado today. Picked some up at Hazels in Boulder. Liquor Mart in Boulder has it as well.

Does anyone know if Pittsburgh will be seeing this? I know Deshutes just recently started distributing here but every store owner I've talked to couldn't say for sure if we were getting any..

Mirror Mirror is still sitting on shelves here in Texas, which is surprising because usually nothing sits here. But no XXVI yet. I think XXV sat for a week or two last year though.

Yeah, tons of it here and you're right, stuff usually doesn't sit. I was so underwhelmed by Abyss that I probably won't bother with BB if I see it, though.

 

It arrived in Casper Wednesday.

Damn, people... someone simply pasted/posted the information that's on the Deschute's website about the beer, including the pairings and the beer contents. Sounds like you're looking to ridicule the poster(s), but the "pretentious snobbery" (if that's what we actually have here) is on behalf of the brewery.

My store still has Mirror Mirror and Not The Stoic bombers, my theory is people either don't know about Deschutes or don't want to pay the price.
