those of you who would turn down a beer you don't like rather than drink an AAL are still welcome at *my* house.

    just, ya know, fyi. :grinning:

I've rated a few macros and I rate them not by style, but using the same comparison I use for all beers. I am very surprised at the play that PBR and Bud are getting. They are the two worst(with coors light) in my opinion. If I have to a macro, give me a MHL.

The question I have is: What is the perfect adjunct lager? I rate according to style, and there has to be a 5 in every style.

I try to be fair and objective with every beer I drink. When I rate a beer I compare to other beers of the same style but it has to be a style I enjoy. Rating a style you do not like is a pointless waste of time. It does not matter to me if it's mass produced or mirco-brewed. If it's good to you....Cheers! P.S., Li'l help reaching my beer?

If I'm at a bar, I feel like drinking and they sell nothing but adjunct lagers, I buy Pabst every time.

Clear body, decent head retention, light lacing. Sweet aroma of malts, rice, corn, no metallic smell. Tastes clean and crisp with faint rice/corn bill. Light body, carbonated. I don't know. My point is, is there not a perfect adjunct lager anywhere? I get the idea that everyone rates adjunct lagers horribly because they aren't 8% DIPAs.

Just have to stay true to what you like and rate it honestly on how you really feel. I believe you shouldn't rate a beer if you don't enjoy that style to begin with. Someone that enjoys that style might overlook it because of a poor review and that's a shame.
