Great Raft is knocking it out of the park. Very proud to have them in my home town!

Grace and Grit was a homerun. All my Tomorrows was awesome. Make Believer was the best session IPA i have had to date.
    And i swear their flagships
have improved tremendously since their inception. I am a big fan of Commotion and Reasonably Corrupt.
One interesting note, Reasonably Corrupt lasts a good long time in a growler. Had one filled last friday, opened and drank about 2/3 of it. Left it at a buddy of mines house for until yesterday. Killed off the rest of if last night. Still pretty carbed up and delicious as always.

p.s. I really really really would love Make Believer in cans. I think that it goes toe to toe with All Day IPA.
I think it would be a huge hit.

That's good to know about reasonably corrupt! My growlers never seem to make until the next day

I sent a bunch of Great Raft to a trading partner in Chicago and he loved it, even asked for a couple more bombers of Grace and Grit!

@AndrewNations with the success of All My Tomorrow's and Grace and Grit are there plans for more bottle releases?

Absolutely. We have at least two more planned this year and are working to plan 2015 releases now. Gonna be a blast. More collabs, bbl aging etc...

that would be an awfully proud price point for that beer. $11 a bomber is already pushing it. It's good, but it isn't we can price our beer higher than a bunch of other world class brewers good.

I think 13$ a 4pack would be fine, this is the best beer to come out of this region ever. I've noticed you don't have many nice things to say about what Great Raft is doing so why not just move along. I feel like the first production brewery in this area needs our support and if you can't get behind that then continue to choose your craft beer from our vast selection of expired Ipas and stale pale ales available at the 2 or 3 craft beer stores here. I'll gladly pay a little more for fresh local beer!

You gosh dang right!!! I wish i could like your post again.

I will gladly pay more money for super fresh & super tasty beer from my hometown brewer.
Is 12 dollars a bomber fairly steep? Yea, it is. Is it worth it to pay a little more for what you
get and what you are supporting?
You damn right it is. Which is why I am on my 5th bomber of Grace and Grit.

Introducing our Collaboration Rye Helles - Last of a Rye'N Breed
    By Andrew Nations - July 28, 2014

Collaboration beers are all the rage these days. It’s a great way for brewers to learn from each other and bring new ideas to the table. Simply stated, we love drinking and brewing with likeminded folks.
For the first collaboration brewed on our system, we decided we needed something subtle, complex and absolutely smashable to deal with heat and humidity of a Louisiana summer. We also knew we wanted to pour this beer at Sierra Nevada Beer Camp in Mills River, NC. We settled on a Rye Helles Lager with Burial Beer Company of Asheville.
Burial has been cranking noteworthy beers and is rising as a local favorite amongst of sea of other great brewers in Asheville. That’s a tall order. Their idea to showcase local North Carolina rye had us head over helles (excuse the pun) from the jump. Think of a helles as being less bitter than a classic pilsner, and offering a complex and slightly sweet malt profile. Add the rye and low abv and you get a super clean and crushable German lager. For good measure, we decided to name this beer after the Lynard Skynard album “Last of a Dyin' Breed,” as lagers are more of a rarity in the craft beer world.
On Thursday, July 31 we will debut “Last of a Rye’N Breed” in the tasting room. We will be pouring this beer alongside some other Great Raft Brewing beers at Burial on Saturday, August 2. We are also bringing a small portion to Sierra Nevada Beer Camp -- the rest will be for our loyal tasting room patrons.
I encourage to read up on what Burial is doing in Asheville and come to taste our latest lager.
    Cheers!

They don't have distro to Baton Rouge? It's decent but it isn't a beer I'd make an out of town drive for.

I'm kinda curious about their new offering but I'm not sure how well rye malt will play with the helles lager style. Rye normally adds a spicy flavor and for me Southern Drawl wasn't a transcendental Pale Lager drinking experience.

Disclaimer: I drank a bottle of Soroboruo by myself tonight so this might come across a little dickish but it's on topic.

Damn, I wish I lived just a little closer. I'm a huge fan of Burial and would love to try something from Great Raft. Unfortunately, I don't think a helles will pull me in for the 12-hour round trip. Cheers to those who can make it, though!

I have to say, the rye helles was not that exciting to me at all. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed it as did the whole tasting room. Great crowd tonight at the Raft!!

@AndrewNations Any idea on what's gonna go in those pappy barrels? Please tell us it's a imperial stout.
