Wow, I feel sorry for ya....At least I got my grocery shopping done that day by leaving early and grabbed a pint of Serpent's Stout at LA. But yeah, it definitely wasn't worth the 2h drive from Redlands and $15 for the parking. Well, lesson learned.

Respectfully, why did you wait in line for a taster of Wahoo Wheat?

My bet would be that it was a really hot day and he was thirsty. Believe it or not, but I drank 3/4 of my wife's water after leaving the event, I was so thirsty...

If you ever go again, further east on Ash there is $5 and $10 lot parking.

As for the others quoting me that I cut lines, yup...but you will also notice my complaint was long lines. I still stood in them and dealt with them, cutting occurred after I was over it and gave just about 0 fucks for the rest of the event. You could say karma got me since the cut to get the Flemish ended up being a crap beer. But meh.

It's all that was left by the time I got to the front of the line. Needed something to rehydrate with.

i mean, you get that cutting in line makes the line longer for everyone else, right?

The event was awful. I think the majority of issues have already been touched upon, but the only thing that would have made it worse would have been a bottle release during the event.

I'm a sick man because I want to see "Ballast Point Does Hunahpu Day 2014 - On a Boat".

Yup, and while doing it I am almost certain my care'o'meter was reading 0. If it was a properly designed event it would not have been necessary, but 30minutes per taster is no where near properly designed. So c'est la vie. I got shafted with the beers that I cut for, might have saved someone from having to drink that swill...or not...maybe they would have enjoyed it who knows. Either way I received my karma and then tried to get back on karma's good graces by finding a phone, notifying the last person called from that phone that I found it and then returning it to the front lost & found.

Not sure why I am even defending my actions. You guys are excellent trolls and I keep falling for it. Kudos.

I don't think anyone is trolling you. I think everyone is just kind of taken aback that you don't see how your behavior kind of contributed to the overall chaos of the event. I see where you're coming from, and you seem to genuinely believe in karma, which is fine, but you also don't seem to understand that cutting in line and complaining about the disorganized nature of an event is kind of paradoxical

Oh I see how it did, don't get me wrong there. I don't think it was the right thing to do at all, sadly I got it stuck in my head somewhere that this was how I was going to get back at BP for such a terrible event. Not sure why nor how I figured that would do it as it did nothing but hurt others that were there and perhaps it even escalated to the point where others saw it and then did the same later further causing more and more issues.

However, cutting in line did not contribute to a lot of the disorganization, to some..sure. But cutting in line does not contribute to over selling tickets to the point where you would have to wait to get onto a boat. It may have partially contributed to others not getting their beer when they reached the front, although with as few tasters as I had I am doubting this. It also didn't contribute to the people at the entrance unable to communicate with one another about lines (which not only myself but a few attendees behind me also commented on...this I found absolutely hilarious).

I guess now I am really just trying to dig myself out of a hole I put myself into. If anything, karma is still out to get me today as the work day has done nothing but suck. =P I am almost scared to go home and crack open a beer for fear of what the bottle has waiting for me.

I think people are just baffled that you're actually admitting to pulling a total dick move, regardless of how much you cared or not. That kind of makes it worse.

I disagree; that sort of honesty is refreshing. I'm willing to be that some of the loudest whiners about line cutting have done it more than once themselves.

yeah... not trying to troll you, just cant believe you told a bunch of people who were pissed about lines that you thought you were above it and cut.

Easy fix, put Grapefruit Sculpin in cans

In all seriousness, you guys have amazing product and reputation. That is why people were so surprised at the event. Keep doing what you guys do and we will keep drinking your beer. Glad our feedback was welcomed. Cheers!
