That actually sounds like a very interesting Randall experiment... or I guess more realistically a boilermaker experiment (be tough to leave a beer in a Randall with barrel chunks for long enough to get barrel flavors...)

Getting really excited for this. Starting to put some stuff aside that I know people will love regardless of wants.

Hmmm...so I've already began a little box of goodies as I have quite a few solid local stouts as well as some more widely distributed stouts that no one with any sense would be upset if it landed in their box..you know, barrel aged or perhaps a variant of a barrel aged stout Can't wait to get this thing going!

 

I also picked up a few "locals" (ie - brewed in Texas) for my targets box today...a canned imperial stout from southeast TX, and a 500ml bourbon barrel version of the same stout. Also picked up my favorite truly local stout...pretty much anyone who has ever traded with me has received a few bottles of this imperial milk stout w/ vanilla
