Ironic that Natty Greene's is distributed by Bud house in my area, I'm sure in most other areas too. Nothing like trying to destroy one of your own brands....classic. A headache, for sure to go through for Chris and Kayne.

Not that I agree with A/B, but just on name alone, Natty Greens and Natty Light are very similar names and they are the same product (beer) in the same markets. No one is going to confuse the brands in the store but I have no idea what the trademark people look for in these disputes.

It doesn't appear A/B are saying "cease and desist" with the name though, just trying to block the trademark. No idea what that means in Natty Greens big picture since they don't have a trademark now. Hopefully they have some deep pockets to fight the power.

I agree, I seriously doubt, to even the un informed beer drinker, they would confuse the Brewery Natty Green with anything made by A/B.

Hell, when I think and hear Natty, I think of Natty Bo and the land of pleasant living, not any effing thing from Budweiser. I used to watch NFL games with my Dad, and even while musically challenged, I can bring that jingle up without a problem. A little boy loves dancing and talking clams even if his Dad is drinking probably one too many watching Johnny Unitas or Sonny Jurgensen. Trademark is trademark and time marches on. Cheers.

Well from what I have tried. Natty Greens tastes alot like Natty Light so maybe AB has a point

So, A-B InBev is going to challenge a tiny NC brewer because they both make insipid weak beers? I think not. A-B has lawyers falling all over themselves and anyone's assessment of comparable quality is meaningless at best.

Or some opportunistic person is trying to make a few bucks on the whole thing.

Publicity can be free advertising, minus the legal fee. Tough to quantify.
