good god, this is earlier than last year I think. they chalked that one up to unknown demand for summer ale, wonder what they'll blame this one on.

Some brewers need to knock it off releasing some of their seasonals waaaaaaay too early

Wait. My possibly faulty recollection is that the demand for Summer Ale was to blame for last year's shortage of Oktoberfest (as in, additional batches of Summer Ale used up capacity required for lagering. Goddamn that Summer Ale.

Well Weyerbacher has their Imperial Pumpkin Ale release this THURSDAY! :grimacing:

Not that I think that's that big of a problem, because this is one awesome beer!

Well this is one thing that Summit needs to learn from Schell's--seasonals belong in their own season.

These pumpkin beers must be made with only pumpkin spices. I'm no horticulture expert, but, correct me if you are one, pumpikns aren't ever close to being harvested yet let alone brewed with.

I would say Schells is a bit late with their seasonals at times. Their Hefe just came out this month. I could have drank that stuff two months ago.

I think a lot of breweries, especially the big ones with popular pumpkin beers, use canned pumpkin.
