    Don't feel bad. I work 8-5 so it's nice to come on BA when I get a break and see people already drinking. It gives me warm fuzzies and hope for the future.

    That is an absolutely great porter! Karbach makes some really good beer. I have had a few that were mighty tasty

    Decision: made!

    Man, can someone fill me in on this? It's my first go-round with Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald porter. I'm incredibly disappointed; there's a flat, stale flavor, that only builds as it warms. Is it normally a hopped up porter, designed to be consumed as fresh as possible? There is a best-by date on it, and it's within periodicity...and most porters and stouts improve with age.

    I can't imagine it's supposed to taste this stale. Huge shame, because I was really excited to try it out.

    I will fix my palate this evening, I suppose.

    Going to enjoy one of my recent bargain finds on a cool, damp, and dreary morning. Bottled on 01/25/14. I thought I wouldn't be cracking these until the fall, Mother Nature had other plans! Worse things could happen.....

    I hope you bought every bottle they had available at that price! I bought a store out when they clearanced this beer at $4.50 or something crazy low like that but $2.49... DAMN!!!
