Apologies if this has been covered - did a quick search (lazily I admit) and didn't come up with anything definitive. Are there any places in Seattle that will let you share bottles / growlers? Perhaps if you pay some sort of corkage per bottle? I'm not talking about an epic share, but a couple growlers and a couple bottles. Thanks for any tips.
The corner of 3rd and Pine seems pretty popular for sharing all kinds of things. Also, Chuck's maybe?
When I lived on the Eastside, we used to have small shares with Doug at Malt and Vine all the time. I've since moved to Seattle and hoping that Toronado will be able to accommodate them since i'll just moved to a spot a couple block away from them.
I used to have a storge spot over at Seattle Wine Storage near Denny and Westlake and you could do tastings/bottle shares there. So if you have a little extra cash and need some more beer storage area check it out its pretty cool but im too broke to do it anymore.
That actually sounds really awesome. Now I'm questioning how much more money I want to put towards this hobby.
I've looked into temp-controlled storage spots. The main downside I found was that you could only access them during their business hours. Some of them were only open M-F. I think the Seattle Wine Storage near Denny and Westlake was open 7 days, but only like 12-6 or something. Which would essentially mean I could only access my beer on weekends - would take a lot of planning ahead. Anyone have a better experience than that?
In my limited experience, a lot of businesses like these have short hours listed, but are much more flexible by appointment. They get relatively little foot traffic/ spontaneous visits, so it doesn't make much sense to sit there all day, but they want to take care of their already paying customers. For something like a bottle share where it's set up in advance, you'd still have to work within their availability but I bet you could get the days/times you wanted.
