I'm working on recruiting two more players if the offer for non-BAs is still open, HW. One said he could make the practice on Monday too.

My buddy lives in Arlington heights and would prob be interested if we need non-BA's to fill out the squad also

Yes, definitely invite the non-BAs. I'm looking for a field where we can practice and will post an address this weekend at the latest. Does anyone have field recommendations?

Let's shoot for a 6pm start time wherever we decide. I'll pick up some 12" softballs for us to use as well.

Dicks Sporting Goods is having a sale right now and there are quite a few cleats in the clearance tent in the parking lot. Prices inside weren't bad for the moderately priced cleats, either. Remember, no metal spikes. Bats are on sale as well. I forgot how freaking expensive they are. What are some of the best legal bats?

DeMarini are good ones we used.

Miken bats are popular as well. Not sure of specific models. Batting practice will consist of chugging a beer and then spinning in circles with our foreheads on the end of the bat, right?

Yes, that's why we need one bat for every player!

I bought a 26 oz. DeMarini Ultimate Weapon at Menard's last night - $30. I've hit with them before, it's definitely not a "hot" bat but it's serviceable. The best bats I've used in the past were a DeMarini Double Wall and a Miken Ultra II that the umpire turned a blind eye to.

Freak and Ultra II from Miken are banned. Worth is another popular brand (I've never used) but I know a bunch of those are illegal too.

What are the dimensions of the league field? Home run limit?

300 foot fences at Olympic park I believe. 3 HR limit, then 1 over if the other team gets to 3 as well.

Here's a website showing the status of fields in Schaumburg:

My coworker said that Campanelli Park at 1024 W. Weathersfield Way could be a good option. 5 fields there, but if they're all being used there's an open field that we could play on as well

Got room for a slap-hitting second baseman? I was once compared to Chuck Knoblauch. Apparently we ate our sub sandwiches in similar manners.

Correct. And when disposing of the wrapper, we would miss the trashcan by a good 6'.
