Aside from Fresh Slice, the Brewmaster Mike series has been extremely solid. Keep it coming and give me back Citra Mantra...

i don't, but with descriptor of American dank hops, could probably narrow it down to a half dozen or so potential players in the mix like columbus, mosaic, apollo, chinook...

 

I think your reading into it too hard, other than hops theres been a bit of a running theme to this series ....its also green and dank.

 

Need more Double Dose. I know it's coming back, but I'd like some now

I've enjoyed pretty much everything they have put out. Fresh Slice had a bit too much coriander for my liking, but it was still a good beer. I wish they had Citra Mantra in cans like Fresh Slice. I'm sure this will be up to par with their other offerings!

 

Keep the hippie beers coming! I really liked Citra Mantra and Fresh Slice. And the artwork on the labels is awesome too!

Dave, do you perceive dank from Mosaic? I have a homebrewed Mosaic IPA that I am drinking right now and all I am getting is fruity flavors (even a bit of blueberry that is sometimes mentioned).

Have you ever combined Mosaic with another hop? Any recommendations?

You just gotta love the beer label for this beer!

I am not a fan of dank hops so this particular beer will be a miss for me but I did really like the Fresh Slice and the Citra Mantra beers.

Hey Jack...yeah starting to get the feeling that my experience with Mosaic is not the experience most people are getting. Not sure, but maybe a mislabeled bag...(?) My experience was part citra, part columbus...either way, was pretty dank aroma and flavors with a tropical citrus edge. I've only got 1lb so far, somaybe try getting some more and see.

 

Dave, it might be that you just have a unique (more perceptive) palate when it comes to Mosaic?

I brewed an all Citra hopped IPA a few summers ago and all that I perceived was tropical fruit flavors but some of my friends perceived cat pee (a 4MMP compound thing). I have not read anywhere that Mosaic is high(er) in 4MMP but maybe it is?

I had an all Mosaic hopped IPA at Club Night of the recent NHC. I spoke to the homebrewer and he stated he generously hopped this beer (it did have a BIG hop flavor/aroma). With that beer I only perceived fruit flavors (his beer had a significant amount of blueberry to it).
