Thanks for the responses / help everyone, and BG_Brewer, that is an incredibly awesome gesture on your end that is much appreciated, but I have this taken care of.

Had to come here to answer this question. Tried it last night...every bit as good as everybody is saying. Just a touch boozy...but other than that, this beer is for real.

FYI, just saw on Facebook that Voodoo got a new bottling line and bottles of Good Vibes IPA are the first run through it. Good news for Western PA.

I was there (again) yesterday. It will not be in the regular rotation due to the Galaxy hops and his inability to get them on a regular basis. Love the beer though.

Agreed. Just filled my second growler this evening. Also, heard mention of a Berliner Weiss being made.... Nice!

All the love for this beer is unnatural. Not a whole lot going on with it. Nose was minimal, very subdued. Slightly more going on with the flavor profile. Malt and hops were very balanced. Opposed to the nose i could at least tell that hops were used in the brewing process. Not quite enough bitterness for a beer of this size. Beer was served fairly cold so I didn't initially get the touch of booze others have mentioned. It showed very slightly as it warmed mainly because with all the mention I was looking for it but really wasn't a deterrent or off-putting. All in all the beer got a bit better as it warmed. There just isn't enough going on with this beer to hold my interest. Boring.

    Hmmm...these statements are downright perplexing.

I'm no Roundabout fanboy (been a bit dissapointed to date, honestly)...nor am I at all a homer...but I truly thought this beer was special...ESPECIALLY the nose. I couldn't stop smelling the thing. If I were to have reviewed it and not just ticked, the nose would have gotten a perfect 5 from me...and I rarely do that.

Beyond that, I thought everything else about the beer was at least good or very good. So calling it boring makes little sense to me. This is one of those situations where I want to ask if you were poured the correct beer or if maybe you had a compromised palate...I'm that confused by your experience...:astonished:

It was the correct beer. Compromised palate is unlikely. I did have a taster of Hop Farm Cherry Tart(that was neither cherry nor tart) and a pint of their ipa about a half hour before followed by some water. The Hop Farm ipa was the first beer of the night and it is certainly not a palate wrecker.

The unnatural love seems to have faded really quickly. The day they first served it and the first growler fill I got the next week were great. The last I had of it last week was way off and tasted very boozy. I'm not sure I've had a beer that's flavor faded faster other than hopslam

When were you there last week? I was there Thursday and I can't imagine it tasting any better than it did. But if it was even better the week previous when first tapped, then you guys must have had a real treat...

I was there Friday. The first day I had it at the anniversary hop aroma was shooting out of the glasses and it had a real bold clean tropical taste with a slight hint of booze but was masked well. I've loved their beers lately but this one blew me away at the time. The times I had it after it seemed to fade each time. Still was a good beer but nowhere near what it was the first week. I haven't noticed that with any of their other beers at all. The Hy-PA with the amarillo was fresh the whole way through, wish there was more of that on,I could crush two growlers of that daily, heard it'll be about a month or so.

Rusted Route an Amber Ale. Haven't tried it. New batch of Pacific Ring should be on this week starting today I think.

    Howdy Folks,
Just wanted to let y'all know were releasing our Gose tonight for anyone interested. Only about 40 pours the keg for this evening so it may go quickly.
    Cheers,

Was an 8 handicap when I was 17. Can't play worth a shit anymore though. I'm lucky to break 90. I'd love to play but that's almost 2 hours from my house. Too far to play/drink, eat/drink, then drive home.

Almost every craft brewery that I can think of started out as a home-brewer with a dream. Dogfish Head, Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada, and many more. I think that anyone who opens up a brewery is in over there heads. Few know what they are about to encounter, but I think that is true of any entrepreneur. It's a huge risk to start a company regardless of what product you are supplying to your customers, or how experienced you are at it. Over time im sure some will fail, maybe it will be the worst beers that bring them down or could be that they dont know how to properly manage a business. I look forward to seeing what each of them have to offer and having more verity in the local marketplace.

Mildly off topic, I tried East End Pedal Pale Ale tonight at Social on Bakery Square. A lot better than I expected coming from East End. Pretty good actually, not amazing but solid. Like a 3.5/5.

Its the best (regular) beer they do by far. I never shy away from ordering a Pedal.

Wow, Stigs and I agree on something. Sound the trumpets...

It's no Gratitude but as a part of their regular line up, it's quite good.
