Any good Southerner who knows the proper way to enjoy watermelon would agree.

I think it's pretty good 4/5. I think I like Deciccio's Biscotti Break more, and I definitely prefer Pizza Boy's Azazel by a large margin (no cinnamon in those though).

With that being said, I think BA Cakes are probably a totally different ball game. The barrel will cut some of the cinnamon and make everything harmonious for me I'm sure. I have the same problem with fresh regular Huna - too much cinnamon. DB Huna is one of the best stouts I've had in a year though.

I'm set on making it to the BA Cake release. Shouldn't be a problem as long as they give us a day's notice. If anyone wants to have a bottle share the day/night after, holler.

As awesome as this would be (since I'm at least 4 hours away) this would be a huge problem... I cite the example of the db damon release as why this doesn't work for beer releases anymore.

The office assistant at Westbrook told me they would announce the release via social media. Unless they do an unannounced release this weekend, I don't think she would be purposefully misleading me. Maybe a locals release and an announced release? I live in New Orleans. I need a beercation and some beach time, so I hope the office assistant was right.

She also said they had not set a date yet. So she went further than just saying she didn't know anything.

This...and only this! As some have already mentioned previously, no one knows except Edward (and possibly he hasn't made a decision yet). People continuing to speculate, clutter their FB posts with hype-train posts, etc. are only hurting themselves (and other non-locals) in the long run. Keep calm, follow their social media (as stated above) and have a plan for any situation (or you'll miss out and come in here screaming and bitching like a 5-year old).

I fully expect a social media announcement. Just the day of "here you go folks this is now at the bar for purchase" kinda thing.

All of the cake variants are still in barrels, they haven't even been tasted yet. It'll happen eventually...

That makes no sense. Why wouldn't they even bother to taste a beer that has been in the barrel for 14 months? Are they waiting for Jesus to return?

I think presumably he means the "final batch" tasting hasnt been done yet. I imagine they have tasted it as some point along the aging process, but what do I know. I mean they are starting to get pretty used to barrel aging beers, if they knew they wanted to barrel age it over a year maybe they did hold off on any tasting until closer to the final product.

In that case it appears that they will be missing their own deadline posted on their website. Well damn.

Deadlines are like rules, made to be broken.

Personally I think posting a brewing schedule is kind of silly, for this exact reason.
