Vanilla is like the second most highly sought-after BCBS ever, so yeah, more than good enough for me.

Don't get the infatuation with Jackie O's? :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing: Have you had any of their big beers? Like Evelyn, BA Skipping Stone, Dynamo Hum, BA Dark App, Oil of Aphrodite, Token of our Extreme, Berliner Weiss, etc? In my best 90210 voice... "They're to die for."

So the Mocha Hazelnut Bourbon County is Goose Island's answers to Bruery's Grey Monday? Can't wait for the side by side comparison.

According to Brett Porter on the podcast, some of the barrels for "Rare 2.0" are 36 years old! He also says it will not be called Rare this time.

I just ordered a taser to help "compete" with all of the impending Vanilla hunters.

I heard that they are taking the last two barrels of King Henry and Rare, brewing the BC base beer and blending the three together for their 2014 Proprietors release. Calling it Rare Henry.

I want them for the Zappa references alone. Plus I have heard great things about those beers since discovering them would really love to try some. If any of you have bottles up for trade pm me.

GI just posted a picture of a vanilla bean being scraped on their Instagram.

Not really breaking news, but a fact nonetheless.

Heady Topper is a great beer... and if one has never had it and needs to knock it off their list then so be it.. But, otherwise people ask for way too big of beers for it! It's an ipa that gets made every week.. Redic

beer trading my friend.. I got plenty last year from trades, as well as coffee and the bareywine editions... There are also stores that sell it online that you can buy it from.. Granted you'll be paying for it (at least 10$ a bottle) BUT, it's worth it!

What's scary is that the Bourbon County release was already a mess last year (what with the hype over a King Henry-like variant, and the Proprietor's), and with them re-doing (they say improving) Vanilla, and having another awesome sounding Proprietor's variant this year, November/December is going to be absolute madness.
