I think Salt Lake City could be included in a top 15 list. They are really progressing and creating some good brews.

As far as emerging beer towns go, Jacksonville is pretty awesome!

Portland, Austin, and St. Louis are beyond "emerging" and should definitely not beyond this list. DC should, however.

That's what I thought. Add Madison to that list, too.

Nothing to see here lol. WOW

As far as Number Five... Two of their listings aren't even in ABQ ( 2nd street and Duel reside in Santa Fe, some 50 miles north). One place, Farside hasn't been around for 1-2 years now. Bosque nor Tractor are "new".

Is this a reprint from 2013?

I will argue, if they had done their research and seen the 2-4 new places opening up in the next few months, the emerging factor is REAL.. The article itself though seems like a mess.. Is it a credit to a city if most of the facts are old or outdated? Who wants to be on a crappy list?

Arguably the biggest, longest running, craft beer fest in the midwest (Denver is the West) is the Great Taste in Madison, and it has been going for a few decades with many long-time local breweries as significant supporters.. To call Madison emerging is... interesting. Even more interesting is to support that with Capital, which is the meh of the breweries in the area in my opinion.

I thought Maine Brewing [sic] Company was in Freeport, ME and not Portland, ME. Or is there yet another brewery in Maine that makes an APA called "MO" and an Imperial IPA called "Dinner?"

Asheville North Carolina has got to be up there. Sierra Nevada, New Belguim and Oskar Blues have all opened second breweries there to add to their already stellar breweries in the area (Green Man, Wicked Weed, Altamont)

Freeport is about 15 minutes up 295 from Portland. Close enough.

I'd add Jacksonville, FL, Charleston, SC and a town that I think is often overlooked, Pittsburgh.

I have no problems with this list. Although I wish I knew which of these cities have the best AK's.
