I don't know why none of these have been talked about here yet, but this brewery just keeps pumping them out.

Most of the their BA 12.7oz series in distribution has been at least good, if not great, so far.

Too bad they don't distribute to Antarctica.

Most of those, and most of their other really good stuff, is brewery only, so probably the reason it's not raved about.

I'd buy all of those if I could. But as it stands, my local place that gets ALOT of beer, even those that are hard to come by, gets 2 cases ( 12 bottles in all ) of these beers if they make it out for distro.

I love Allagash but generally their model is to(strictly my own opinion) calm the hype by doing lots of brewery only stuff and not making grandiose announcements about it, as opposed to GI Black Friday for example. Unless you've lived in or traveled through New England frequently, my bet is you aren't going to be aware of Allagash.

Allagash is my second favorite brewery and favorite American brewer of Belgian ales. The only Belgian brewery that's comparable to them is Lost Abbey (maybe Ommegang?). Russian River doesn't even come close in terms of Belgian ales.

(note that this doesn't include lambic breweries)

We don't really know that though. Tiarna, Midnight Brett and Mervelliux (sp?) were all distributed. I doubt all of these new ones will see distribution but their recent history supports at least one of these getting released beyond the brewery doors

I've been really liking Allagash lately. Only one that missed the mark so far was the Session brett. All funk and no flavor.

These couple listed sound very interesting. It's tough to find their big bottles under $20 around my parts. I generally will seek out a $7 8oz pour at a local craft bar when I see them on the menu. Better on my wallet that way to try out the new ones that to drop $20+.

They did hit distro, but it was super limited. Most States that got any got 10-12 cases total, and that's a thin spread for numerous accounts.

Weird. Mervelieuxmzxcvzxmbn and Midnight Brett were pretty easy for me to find for weeks.

I really hope this is true.

Looking forward to this. I just had their Curieux, and it was delicious. Never had an Allagash I didn't like

I really enjoy this brewery. I'm not sure if I should be thankful or spiteful that these guys got me interested in "sour" beers.

You're lucky, however Midnight Brett didn't do it for me. Merv was awesome, so was FV13.

I would argue that point with you my friend. I am originally from Virginia, and Allagash was quite popular there among us lovers of all things craft. I also found it to be true when, after moving to Arizona, that I could still find Allagash all over California where it is also respected and loved despite the massive amount of great craft beers in that state.

I like most of the Allagash sours, but I find their price point a little painful.
