    The time has come-

    Spruce gets bottled this week and will be hitting stores by the middle of next.

    It's the beer of Michigan....

    India Spruce Pilsner is an Imperial Pilsner, fermented with local, hand-picked blue spruce tips. The spruce presence, rooted in historical brewing practices, is enormous and gives the beer a refreshing gin quality. This beer is impressively light bodied, considering the immense spruce flavors and the prodigious additions of hops.

    7% ABV
    85 IBU

    By far one of my LEAST favorite Short's brews. However, I don't like gin at all, so that could be a reason.

    Really looking forward to Wowee Zowee in bottles....loved that brew on tap last summer!

    Probably my favorite Shorts. I love cracking open a bottle with Indian food. Part of me wishes Shorts would make a lot more of this one by upgrading it to summer seasonal.

    I had some of this at a bar a few months ago that was kegged last July and it was amazing. Question is will this fresher stuff be a whole lot more sprucey because I thought the glass I had was amazingly well balanced?

    Yes, it will, but deliciously so. I think it's better with a little age on it but it's good right from the start!

    Three words. Black Husky Sproose. You'll have to visit Wisconsin (or trade) for it, but you UP'ers will only have to drive over the border- it's brewed way up North in Pembine.

    I live pretty close to him and i still have to drive 2 hours south to oshkosh to score bottles. So they've got a bit of a hike still, which is totally worth it. I emailed him to inquire about getting some direct from his brewery to save myself 3 hours of driving, which would be awesome, he makes some great stuff.

    Talk about be overshadowed by Shorts others releases, this thread fell 3 pages back. Anybody seen Spruce on shelves yet?
