as an unbiased observer that's born and bred in WA, I can objectively state that lukie is correct - w/melon warhead is the best aussie beer... on an unrelated note, i'm looking forward to trying it for the first time on monday.
(whilst i copy flak from wife's friends husbands about how the possesion of testicles is not mandatory for drinking a 2.9% beer)

wetting the whistle tonight: rodenbach vintage 2007, there's still at least a half case in a bottle'o near me that has been staring at me for months and this week it got the better of me

 

I had multiple pints of Watermelon Warehead tonight. Yeah, it's pretty good.

Bright Brewing's Red IPA was pretty leet too. Well done to them.

 

The Bright Red IPA is the best beer they've made. Not that that is difficult.

Watermelon Warhead is great but I'm not sure it's the best thing ever made. Definitely better than Hop Hog though.

 

You people are the worst of all the people.

 

Tomorrow I shall be drinking as much of Mash's Koffee Stout as is possible. Tonight however I shall be trying to sell off all of Lukie's precious Warhead. I even put a staff incentive up for who sells the most. If this works, I shall also be drinking 4 Pines' Beetroot Blonde tomorrow.

On a different topic, Andrew, if you're up for some beverages after your Swan Valley adventure on Monday, let me know. I finish at 5 in Fremantle. We will have some of the Temple stuff on tap and the Unifikator if you're interested.

I know plenty of people coming down tomorrow to drink some if you want to hold off on selling it all. And why couldn't the staff incentive have been yesterday? It means everyone would have fought over me.

 

i'm sure lukie is just kidding about the w/melon guys -- no doubt his favourite aussie beer is actually a blend of dry dock and lukie's gueze... is that a sweetened version of uli's geueze?

brenden i'll be in freo on mon nite (conspicuous as one of several suited-up slightly inebriated cashed up bogans) so i intend to try and convince said twat-party to hit up the sail... don't think the decision will be mine though, so might have to just 'see you if i see you'

will try and hit up the sail tomorrow (sun) though for this unifikator, in case you are working. temple saison and black ipa would be a lovely brunch combo

what's this post about again? oh yeah,wetting whistles. local bottle o got a bit tired of sitting on 2011 bottled st bern 12's so decided to flog them off for $6... resistance was futile

 

Unifikator doesn't go on until one of Mikk From Here to Via, Ris Ala Male or the Schlenkerla Marzen goes. All 3 kegs are about 1/3 to f__ all in them, so it shouldnt be too hard a job.....

I'm not working tomorrow, I will be sitting upstairs reading my book, chain smoking and chain drinking Koffee Stouts. Feel free to join me if you wish. If the Unifikator isnt on, you could try the Bootleg Brewery Black IPA.

 

I'm drinking Oud Beersel Oude Gueuze. It's good, not the best gueuze. I am starting to wonder if a bad gueuze exists.

And Andrew, my favourite beer ever is Dry Dock through Chilli's.

 

As for your friends coming down tomorrow Lukie, that's what I do. I lure them down with the prospect of Warhead and then only give them Dry Dock. It's the same principle, ie. here's a diamond ring, that gets women into my Girl Pit (patent pending)... Oh wait, I've said too much.

I bet once the keg is done, you just throw vinegar into a keg of Dry Dock and tap it on the same line as Watermelon Warhead!

 

Thats exactly right, I won't call it W/Head though. I will make it perfectly clear this comes from 'Lukie P_____a Brewery'. All our chalkboards will call it 'Lukie's Gueuze' (thanks for the idea Andrew) and I will put your email address and the bottleshops phone number down for people to call and email with feedback.

Not so much for the annoyance it will cause you, but more to see if people do like it.

On a serious note, come down tomorrow and I will buy you a W/Head. You can have lunch with Andrew and myself and we can talk beer rubbish.

 

lukie's gueze: patented already by lukie so i can't take credit (1 parts oude gueze, 1 parts sucrose)
oud beersel & mariage parfait: some lambics "just aren't lambic enough" for you are they luke. i'll get there one day
unifikator: stale wanker faecesbook page says unifikator is on already.... ? ok mash coffee stout will suffice
