A local one here for me, doesn't even compare to the giant of Western New York: Southern Tier. The aroma out of the can was quite nice - a lot of floral hops. The taste was slightly lackluster, unfortunately. It was missing a lot of body and carbonation. 3.3/5

Looking forward to trying the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout this weekend. I have had the ale on tap at a local shop and enjoyed it. I also enjoy strong stouts on occasion so this should be interesting... [IMG]

Finishing another fun day at Beer Camp. Last one of the day is Electric Ray, a sweet, hoppy IPL.

Drinking Founder's Porter. First experience with it. Pretty tastey. Will probably buy it again. I just reviewed it.

It is 2350 here is Germany on July 23rd. This is my last night here after three years. I have enjoyed my time here meeting new friends, traveling all over Europe and drinking world class beers. I leave Deutschland tomorrow at 1330 for Baltimore and I will arrive at my new home of Dover, Delaware on July 25th.

I just got back into my room after smoking a Cohiba #2 legally for the last time in the near future and I am ending my beer drinking in Germany with an old standard. Sorry for the recycled pic as my room doesn't have wifi and my only connection is an ethernet cable.

the "Shugga" was malty to start... sweet and not so hoppy (as I recall.) This one was very nice. Goes back before "Sucks" was ever started! If it was supposed to be hop forward, this one was not.

    Gourmet night for me-
    [IMG]

That's a North Jersey specialty called White Manna- and the Celtic Ale is the perfect accompaniment for such greasy vittles.

    Cheers!

    Dear Mom and Dad,
Today at camp, I had CANfusion Rye Bock. It was pretty good. I took some tasting notes for a review. There are raccoons living under our cabin, and at night they get loud. Brad says there are rattle snakes around here. I think he's full of it. Tonight we're roasting marshmallows. See you soon....
