It definitely has not been on shelves. They must have received a small shipment with the 2012. I doubt they would have been holding out.

I do remember last year when the 2nd (?) shipment hit the LP Binny's. It was on the shelves for about a week or so. So I'm not going to go crazy if I miss out on this first release.

They sold out within an hour or two of them opening. No limit I heard

My local Binny said that he expects to get more Parabola than he got Sucaba, and there was enough Sucaba to go around. But then, BA BW is only just starting to get trendy, and BA Stout is riding tall on the hype wave.

It may have started out as no limit, but I got in there just after 10am, was told it was a limit of six and then quickly was told that limit was two per person. So perhaps it started as unlimited, then six, then two per.

LP Binnys saved a case of 2011 and cellared it so they could sell it today in conjunction with the 2012 release. Heres to thinking ahead!

Yes, but that crazy large shipment was a mistake ( good one for us) and didn't come until the end of Sept/ early October last year....

I'm probably the only person alive who prefers BA BW to BA stout.... :grinning:

Also, they did not mark it up, at least substantially. When I got there the '12 was gone, but I got an '11 for $17 or $18 I forget. Don't know what they were charging for the '12, but the South Loop Binny's charged $17.

Correct. I originally went with None, then Six, then Two, based upon what people were buying and the volume of people coming in. We didnt get a lot, and i couldnt in good conscience let people walk out with cases/half cases...i guess i'm back to setting limits. *head desk* We sold out in a little over an hour.

And if you purchased from me, please double check your receipt, there was a screw up in how the sale of current year and previous year was executed. There were a few customers charged for all 2011 at $16.99 rather than 11 @ 16.99 and 2012 @ $14.99. If you were affected by this screw up, get in contact, i'll make it right.

Marion Wine and Cheese Market in Oak Park has several bottles of Sucaba if anyone is interested.

The main shop I go to says that their list was already full. Guess I will either drive around, or look for it for sale online.

Binny's in Lincoln Park, e.g the Marcey St. one next to Goose Island. But as stated above, Parabola is indeed sold out.

Personally (especially given the current job market) I think you should be educated about the job you work, regardless of whether you like it or not you should know about what you are getting paid for.

How is it that several Binny's locations got Parabola last week and not a single other liquor store received an allotment yet?
