Grabbed one for $16.99 yesterday. If I like it enough I may grab one or two more.

Had my parents grab me have a case at 16.50 a bottle. More than I would prefer to spend but it is a great beer. Amazed that places in NorCal get 30 cases while places I have stopped at in Seattle barely got 1 or 2.

Indeed, many wineries will sell you a cab and tell you that it will be best to age but can be consumed now. I don't see this as a lot different. Additionally, to your point, when you buy a several year old bottle at a winery, you pay more to reflect the aging.

I drank one fresh, tasted great, saving one for best after date. ISO more.

I had a snifter at the Portland brewpub last week- definitely a good dessert beer. It's too bad they haven't made it out to the East Coast yet!

That's a terrible price IMO. Should be around $18

I haven't seen it yet either, but I'm not surprised. We got Mirror Mirror over a month after when almost every other market got it and we still haven't gotten Not The Stoic. Deschutes doesn't seem to be too concerned with us getting these beers too closely to others so I'm assuming we won't see it for AT LEAST another few weeks.

I just got word from my beer guy that he is getting three cases next week. If that's the case, keep an eye out for it. I'll post if I see it.

Oh nice! I'll do the same. I live in the NE area in Middleburg. Would be cool to see this one sooner than we saw Mirror Mirror.

Haven't seen it in in Sactown yet, but then again I haven't been big beer hunting in a long time. Been sticking mostly to 6 pack faves recently. Anyone know where I might find it around here?

I was in Portland last week and this was on every shelf along with Not the Stoic. Didn't look like anyone was interested at all.

My local Whole Foods has Mirror Mirror, and Not The Stoic so I'm hoping they get Black Butte XXIV as well.
