Will be making the journey from Lawrence, KS-KC area to Rocky Branch resort in a week and a half. Looking for suggestions from the locals for good bottle shops/breweries to stop at along the way. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Liquor World in Fayetteville & Walton Boulevard Spirits in Bentonville are best IMO. Macadoodles in Rogers isn't bad as well. The Macadoodles on the Missouri side is pretty good, you might find some stuff there that was cleaned off the shelves in the KC area long ago...

    Bottle Shops:
As @russpowell mentioned, Walton Blvd's probably the best shop in the area. Big stores like Guess Who? and Macadoodles are places to load up on staples, but Walton actually gets limited seasonals etc. I've personally never had much luck at Liquor World.

    Breweries:
In my opinion, Ozark Beer Company is head and shoulders above every other brewery in the state. Their APA's really tasty and is available in cans at the brewery. Fossil Cove's OK, worth a stop. The other breweries in the area are frankly hit-and-miss at best.

    Bars:
NWA's lacking in this area. Sideways and Brewski's in Fayetteville have a bunch of taps, but most of their selection's filler. There's a bar in Rogers called Brick Street Brews with 12 taps that exclusively pours beer from the region.

Have a good trip. I've been working on a project in the area for the last couple of months and have enjoyed checking out the local scene.

Thanks for the info guys. It was hard to see your posts in the barrage of reccomendations from the AR BAs. Much appreciated.

Core's Bottled & Canned stuff are worth a go as well, nothing mind-blowing, but all fairly solid..

Core and Saddlebock are must see and drink as well. I love Saddlebock's Dirty Blonde.
