How dare breweries release rare beers without consulting your schedule first. And who says either of those releases are some of the greatest beer events in the world?

Seriously, it is easier for many people, certainly not all, to make it for a Saturday release. Pretty much common sense.

When I was younger and into watching NFL games, Sunday was the big drinking day. It sucked to know that I'd have to go to work the next day and not be able to drink the following morning instead.

But I'm in my mid 30's now and Sunday events would be just fine.

    A. I have self control.
    B. I don't need to work on Monday if I'd have to rush to get back. My company gets days off!

However, Saturdays just make a whole lot more sense. Shit, some towns in the area where I live won't sell beer before 10am on Sundays. That's just not patriotic!

As others have said, most people have the weekend off
So that leaves Friday +Saturday nites (can't go to bed late on Sunday)
But you can't do it Friday
    Therefore Saturday
My favorite day of the week :grinning:

That sounds beyond miserable. I am guessing those states have higher suicide rates. Or I should say I would probably hang myself.

TapNY is always two days, Sat and Sun, so you could attend that. I have heard it is crowded but good

Is This A Seinfeld Skit, or a Walter Sobchak(From The Big Lebowski) Quote? Anyway, OP I feel for ya, but It is Pretty Funny. I work on Saturdays and I'm in the industry, but Luckily Avery does a lot of their Releases on Sundays.

I got it, this is the ultimate hipster thread. Saturdays are not cool anymore guys, Tuesday is the new day to be off work and do things like beer fests. Get with the times all you lame BAs.

You're exactly right. Everytime I see a tap takeover or beer dinner or some beer event in NJ (except for beer fests) it's always on a weekday night (mainly Thursdays?). Wish they WERE on Saturdays and/or Sundays. I could go then. I don't want to go to those events on work nights.

Maybe because Saturdays work for the majority of people??

I feel your pain and it sucks, but it's true.
