I appreciate the the kind words, Matt. I assume the bottle of Snorkel you had (directly or indirectly) came from one of our volunteers. We let our volunteers who help us bottle our beer take some home at the end of the day. - Jeff

I also enjoyed Snorkel. Umami bomb from the oyster mushrooms. Nice balance of earthy, salty, smoky, and Jester King funk. It's soft and easy to crush on a hot TX summer day. I need to find a good BYOB Japanese restaurant in town, so I can pair Snorkel with sushi.

Snorkel is good, not great. Slightly different from some Gose's ive had, however, I wouldn't drive out of my way to pick up bottles of this one.

It is unfortunate that there are criticisms, both good and bad, about a beer that has not yet been officially released. Mixed culture fermentation is a constant evolution, and as such this beer will be different on it's day of release than it is right now. I understand everyone has different perceptions and tastes. I won't argue if someone doesn't like one of our beers. However, it is frustrating that someone precluded the opportunity for us to present a beer we've made at the time we've determined appropriate.

The bottles volunteers get aren't always the complete representation of the product. Mistakes happen during bottling and it's mostly those bottles that the volunteers get to take home at the end of the day.

I have been looking forward to this. My plans to get down there this weekend have fallen through though, sooooo...

If anyone in the Dallas area is going this weekend, I have a 'pick it up for me bro' trade in the 'In Person' trade section. Includes unavailable beers - Artial/Nocturn/Provenance(v1). Thanks!

There is glassware for this release?

    Having money is overrated.

Is there snorkel glassware too? Ive been getting two of each glassware release... Think I need to cut it back to one. Im hoping they mix up the glassware styles though.
