Just revisted after mowing the yard... its was ok, but when I think of Gose I think of Westbrook Gose or Anything Gose . So I'm jaded.

BTW, there's nothing wrong with a Modelo with lime...don't judge me.

Too much lime for me. My wife loved it. Drink what you like.

Lots of lime but I do taste a slight saltiness but not much. I agree with an earlier post, Modelo with lime is a good comparison. Nothing wrong with that

Modello is an adjunct larger made with corn syrup. I think that's a horrible comparison.

Yeah, this is in no way similar to any macro with artificial syrup added. I really enjoyed the first few times I had it on tap. Then, for what ever reason I started to pick up more of the lime juice. Which is not bad at all, and is real juice. It reminds me more of a German Radler than anything. Again, not bad at all, just not exactly what I am looking for with the style. I am sure I will be getting at least a few six packs of this when I see it. Like I do with pretty much everything from Real Ale.

This is only my second Gose next to Martin House Salty Lady, but I really enjoyed it. It is simple with a lot of lime, but the wheat kept it from tasting like an adjunct with lime for me.

    Next up...Westbrook. *crack*

Not sure but RA seems to be the best-not-so-hyped-to-clear-shelves brewery/releases. Love seeing their special releases on the shelves all the time.

just finished a weekend of food and beer pairing. hadnt tried the real ale gose before that, but it was fitting with the meals and styles i was serving up, so i grabbed a six pack. it was tasted blindly by the guests, and received in comparison to bud light lime. could not have been more embarrassed. luckily it was a gathering of close friends with good taste and not industry professionals.

Snotty Opinion Warning: Any "industry professional" would be able to make a huge distinction between the two. Only a novice beer drinker would seriously draw that comparison.

Also, how did you know it was fitting with the meals without having tried it? Bit of a gamble, I'd say.

Were your guests bud light lime drinkers at all? If they are, I could see how they might think lime = bud light lime, but this beer has more going on than light american lager with artificial lime flavoring

No need to be embarrassed though, you provided them a new beer that a lot of people are enjoying right now, if they didn't like it, or thought it was something else, I don't see why that would reflect poorly on you

Real Ale is amazing, kinda sad seeing people hate on this but at least that means more for me!

Just tried it for the first time...a little salty, a little tart, some coriander and A LOT of lime...seems a little watered down, and does not come close to the Westbrook IMHO, but it is local and not as hard to find

I opened another one today and liked it a bit more than last time. Maybe I shouldn't have compared it to Modelo, but I was hoping for a bit more tartness and I'm not getting much salt if any. To be honest, Westbrook ruined me. I'm not hating on Real Ale, after all it was Sisyphus that got me hooked on craft beer for good, but I was underwhelmed by this one. White on the other hand is pretty damn good!

I still haven't stumbled across this in Dallas. Admittedly I've only been to a few places but I thought I would've run into it by now. It's not hard to find right?
