Black Butte XXVI

Had this on tap last night at palace called Goodkind in Milwaukee. Very good beer. The flavor a are exactly as described by Deschutes in the press release.

 

Interesting. Most binnys are usually the same. This was downers. Just glad I got a couple to age. Good fresh but hoping better with age.

 

It was not at Binnys.

Binny's is ALWAYS a dollar or 2 higher than our grocery stores out here. Which is ridiculous. They're obviously grabbing every last cent they can from people. Because there is no way in hell they get it for more expensive when we're farther from the city and we get about 1/10th the allotment they do.

If you want to save some dollars, head out here.

Love Child for instance is $18.99-$19.99 around here. It was $20.99 at Binnys. Is a dollar going to make me go bankrupt? Nope. But it is disheartening to see a gigantic chain of liquor/beer stores up-charging their liquor/beer.

I believe I've seen it at the Citrus Heights BevMo. I think they still have some Mirror Mirror and Not The Stoic, too...

 

Perhaps I missed this, but any thoughts on last years XXV VS. this year's XXVI??

I loved last years soured theme of last years black currants, but in hesitant about the fruit in this years. It can always count on the BA community for some helpful thoughts.

Mirror Mirror has been there for a while. Haven't seen Not the Stoic or BBXXVI there, but I'll check after work today

Yup, picked up the BBXXVI. Still plenty left. Didn't see Not the Stoic. Mirror Mirror was still there as well, along with the '88 Belgian Collab

Wisco folks- it just hit MKE, I believe they are $15.99 per at Milw. Discount Liquor

 

I don't know how your owner lets you drink all that beer, it's a crime, Bitter Bill you have a drinking problem!!

 

Costco still has xxvi and mirror mirror for $13 a bottle. You do not need a membership to buy alcohol from them. Just tell them you are buying beer

 

Also saw it at nugget in west sac but they want $16

 

PA Folks - where'd you see this?

 

Found a huge supply last night at a store near me for under $13/bottle. They had several Mirror Mirros and Not the Stoic bottles sitting there as well.

 

I've seen it in Philly but it averages about 23.99-28.00 per bottle.

 

Ahhh...wonderful PA where everything is overpriced.

 

I got it at Pizza Boy, but it was salty!
