Speaking of comparing Goses, had the Cascade Gose. Very tasty. Not as salty as Westbrook. Westbrook or AV would be my go-to for a lawn mower beer over the Cascade.

Isn't this how everyone shows up to their IP trades?

it comes from people mistakenly thinking it was a Bond 007 thing. We started calling it "0 double 7 XX" to be more clear that it wasn't "double 0 anything" from there it went "0 double 7" "0'dub" now its pretty much just "i'll have a dub"

Augie - what is the furthest North you guys will be distributing cans? I've had a few of your things on tap (in Northern NJ or Rockland), and checked as much as about an hour south of there without much luck. Thanks.

And on another note guys -- besides the length of our thread -- we've hit the big time since now we have a beer celebrity in our midst...

Since Augie's watching, even a little, I'm curious what @Kramerbarthomer thought of his beers. Did you try 'em?

Thanks for the clarification! I admit that it took me two or three times reading the name before I realized it was 077 not 007. Now I'm just curious where 077XX did come from.

Yeah I don't think even SWTFYW has even had any brewers chime in... although, if you've read much of that thread, I don't blame them.

On a related note, I have a business meeting in Wall, NJ in about a week, and hope to stop by in the afternoon afterward, but I honestly don't know what I'll find when I get there. Is there a brew pub? Do you do tours? Do you come out and have a beer with random people?

It's based on the zip codes surrounding Carton's brewery, if I recall correctly.

http://cartonbrewing.com/ -- I'm not sure if all your questions will be answered, but it's a good place to start. And yes, that includes my question about distribution, but I was being lazy and trying to avoid googling every place to figure out which are further north than others.

Yeah that would make sense, I always forget Jersey has 07 zip codes not just 08.

Shhh!!! I really just wanted to know if he'd hang out with me!

077xx was a solid DIPA. Pretty well balanced. Boat Beer was one of the better session IPAs I've had. Still waiting to the big gruesome and others. But I'm impressed so far

We are a production brewery which in NJ means you can not serve food. We have a tasting room with a pretty cool crowd of locals open Thurs/Fri 5-7:30 and Sat/Sun noon-5 if you just want to buy beer that's when to do it. If you want to taste you have to take a tour (another state law) but we are a tiny brewery so that takes all of 5-10 minutes depending on how geeky you get.

As far as Dub goes all the zip codes in Monmouth County (our town) are "077 something something" so we named our double 077XX

Finally able to catch up on this thread. It was a long weekend between wedding and then Sierra Nevada Beer Camp yesterday. Needless to say I'm tired and feel like shit today.

Anyway, I've got a bottle each of the WBR, Strawberry Rhubarb, and Serendipity for trade $4$ if anyone is interested. I've had them all before and would be happy to hook someone up. BM me if you're interested.

If no one takes you up on this, I might ... I've had them all and have two of the 3 in the fridge right now, but I've noticed that I'm sitting on them more than I should because I don't want to 'run out' of them. With that said, first dibs go to anyone trying them for the first time, and since I still have a moratorium on trades, I am in zero hurry.

Anyone have access to the NG Oude Bruin? I wouldn't mind trying to work something out for that, I am always willing to trade for the NG Fruits too but in the same boat as @Lehighace06 I have had them all and recently had some new additions show up thanks to thread joiner @treznor but the Serendipity did not stand a chance..."he gone"

Oude Bruin sold out really quick at the few places not more than an hour drive from Minneapolis, though I've seen it's still around in other parts of the state.

I will definitely miss you Tuesday there is an outside chance I may be able to meet you Wednesday later depending on when I get in and how long you will be around.
Listermann check out the Nutcase (peanut butter porter) & Chickow! Double Hazelnut Brown, they may have the Madmann Blackberry Gose there which was a collaboration with Madtree
8Ball they have a ton of good guest taps and Party source is awesome. They do some pretty good stuff in house mostly hoppy stuff
Yardhouse is a great spot to hit up before the game. I would try to get there a little before 5pm it will fill up

Rhinegeist A cool location in the historic brewery district. Was the old Moerlein brewery big space. The truth is a good west coast IPA have some guest taps too
50 West Their beers are pretty solid and have a decent menu there too I have heard.

Are you staying in town on Wednesday if so do you know where abouts?

    Cheers!
