People always bail last minute too. I got my ticket moments before the Thursday night session started last year.

Assuming the next one is during GABF, I highly recommend Crooked Stave's What the Funk?!? - Jeff

Thursday and members on Saturday is the way to go. Rare beer on Friday. Great trip but I'm opting for the weekend rounds at the Masters for my man trip this year!

I'll be there, probably going to an earlier session. Already booked my flight to get there Thursday and leave Sunday, but I might extend my time there depending on what others in my group are doing. We'll probably be renting a house if we can get our crap together.

You got most of em. Trinity is awesome for food and drink, Bristol is in a cool complex kind of like The Source in Denver with a few other restaurants/coffee/bar in the same building. For food- Front Range BBQ is really good and has a pretty solid tap list in my experience. There is an il Vicino pizza too

Paradox and Bierworks are 5 and 10 minutes from where I stay, I like them both a lot. bierworks usually has a food trailer out front in addition to a couple snack type things (pretzels and cheeses and meats I think)

Realistically, all expenses included (airfare, hotel, food, tickets for a day, buying bottles, a tour or 2, Funk n Sour if they have it, etc....) what does this look like for a trip for 2? About $1,000 sound right? I really want to go but I don't want to half ass it, I want to make sure I can hit all the spots and really enjoy myself.

For me, this is generally what it breaks down to:

    Flights - 200
    Tickets - 65? 70?
Hotels - (they are not cheap) 180ish/night for anything decent
    Rental Car - 120

So, if you go with your wife for 3 nights, you are looking at 1200 right there.

Granted, I have found better hotel rates and 180 is what I have booked now. There was some for closer to 100 but you are further out.

Ha no problem. As I said, it is updated to last year. I will go through and get it up to date for this year in the next month or so.

I stockpile hotel points all year round for this trip in order to save money. However, if you cannot do the same, look into AirBNB or something similar - I know that a few Houston couples are splitting a house and it comes out to a lot cheaper than three hotel rooms would.

You missed the best flight sale of the year ($98 each way on Southwest) but flights should still be in the 200-300 range. If you plan to mule beer, Southwest is your best bet cuz those two free bags.

This year, GABF tickets are $65 (Saturday member's only session), $80 (other sessions), or $140 (Farm-To-Table Thu or Fri). There's Ticketmaster convenience charges on top of that, but they're lower than you'd expect.

Pints for Prostates Rare Beer Tasting is $110. Buy now, it'll sell out soon. It's worth every penny.

What the Funk, last year, was $90 after all the convenience charges, according to my records.

And then you'll spend a ton on food and drink.

+1 on Airbnb...still a few good places near the convention area that didn't jack up the price specifically during GABF...

There are always good flight deals to Denver for under $230.
