Beer Release (Short's Brew): Spruce Pilsner

was in a2 today and was told it had come and gone already--hoping that's not true. may check a place or 2 tomorrow.

 

Where did you check? I got a 6pk at Plum Mkt at lunch, but he only had a few 6pks left

 

super liquor 4. maybe i'll run into plum tomorrow but they'll probably be out.

 

Man this stuff is even better fresh! Wish I were up North right now among the pines knockin' these babies back. This reminds me of the It's About Thyme IPA I had at the brewery a few weeks ago. I wish more breweries would do higher ABV pilsners.

 

oh man i wish i could get this in chicago. traveling to the UP for labor day. but no freaking chance any is left id assume by then.

 

I absolutely love this beer, and my wife hates it so that's great for me. Something about knowing this came from fresh spruce tips in the upper hand AND it comes from Shorts just gives me a huge sense of pride on how lucky Michiganders are to get this beer.

Can't wait for Juicy Tree again.

 

The label claims the Spruce Pilsner is made with Michigan hops, too. Loving the local-sourcing from Shorts!

 

I could bathe in this beer. I trade for at least a sixer every year.

 

Tasted great on tap last weekend and my first bottle tonight as well.

 

I missed Juicy Tree and have a tremendous sense of envy for those who had it. Sigh.

 

Got my spruce today on a trip up from Indiana. I was surprised to see Bud & Elsie's in Union Pier is gone. For future reference, any stores near the Indiana/Michigan state line that I should hit on Shorts runs?
