My heart tells me in Phoenix. But that's because I'm a bastard and want it super close. My head tells me Southern CA. A lot of noticeable breweries in CA and its within easier distance of some of the west coast and mid west breweries ( looking at you Colorado).

Chicago as a front runner it seems probably makes a lot of sense. It's a great city, relatively cheap to fly to as well.

Of course I would prefer it closer  and I am sure the time they offer the fest I'll be out travelling somewhere anyway and miss it

Oh, I've been to Grand Rapids and really enjoyed it. Didn't know it was important enough to have an 'international' airport. It also didn't seem like there was very much near there. But there is Grand Valley State!!

I live in boston and I vote chicago. Its huge, easy to get too (cheaper/direct flights), in the middle of the country so its "fair" for everyone. They also have pizza and cool skyscrapers.

Las Vegas or New Orleans. If you're looking for a great convention/destination/party towns, you cannot do better.

Obviously you don't frequent the Great Lakes Forum very often. There are constantly threads asking for info/tips about trips to Grand Rapids.

I think the choices of Chicago and Denver have obvious merit. Cool cities, major transportation hubs, great beer scenes within and close by. Plus they both have that "middle of the country" thang going on.

San Diego is another obvious choice for beer scene, and of course desirable weather year round.
Love the idea of Charlotte and Asheville. So much good things happening in both areas, and awesome scenery/culture.

Austin is an awesome city (despite being in Texas). Fantastic music scene, great food and drink. Also centrally located.

CHI CA GO... Best beer town. Easy to get to, nearly everything is available. Fun town. Plenty of capacity for staying.

Now, if you want to get fun... The south east area is coming on big time with abundance of quality brews. The tampa area might be worth a look!

Couldnt agree more! Great place as in scenery and the actual state but sometimes the populace makes you wonder.
