this really wasn't next or even on my: "Today Menu". ever think you started off with a plan, open your fridge door & just impulsively grab something else completely off script? that just happened.

Took my next Kelso onto the balcony.
Supposed to be raining today, thunderstorms and such.
    We'll see.

Impulse buy: glass shaped like a beer can.
It's alright, but not something I'll use much.

    Great-lookin' can though, eh? :sunglasses:

    Greetings fellow BA's and WBAYDN'ers!

It's been a while since I post in this thread as I've been terribly busy these past few weeks and in addition to that there have been family visits, a small trip and quite stressful days at work. The few days i managed to crack open a couple of fine brews was late into the night and probably late for this thread anyway. But that doesn't mean I didn't glance through these pages when I got home at night looking at what other folks had enjoyed throughout the day.

Here are some of the finer and most memorable brews I've been enjoying lately:

    Perennial Abraxas
Oh. My. God. Instant perma-want. Best mouthfeel I can remember, beautiful flavor profile from sweet chocolate to spicy finish. Coffee and molasses undertones throughout. Beautiful - grateful to have tried it.

    Carton Brewing - 077XX
What a beautiful EC IIPA. I, sadly, drank my last one over the weekend and will terribly miss its fresh, fruity taste.

    ANTEAD Coffee
Geez! Mouthfeel perfection. This is the Coffee variant and although it tasted more like cocoa nibs to me, I enjoyed this one terribly. I was taking tiny sips as I didn't want it to be over. Beautiful beer.

Beachwood - System of a Stout
Solid brew. Spices, chocolate and bitter coffee rounded with a faint cardamom finish. Although a similar profile to other spiced beers (Mexi Cake, Bomb, Huna, Abraxas, etc) this is different and great in its own right.

    Bourbon County Coffee
Also drank my last BCBCS last night. Oh well. Like I said - stressful and looong few weeks and unfortunately that doesn't seem to have an end soon.

Thanks for putting up with my long "catch up" post. And to conform to the unspoken rules of this thread...

Enjoying a Stone w00t 2.0 as I write this. First Stone brew that I love in a while - even though its only 25% BA, you can feel the heat from the bourbon for sure. The nutty (hazelnut) flavor on the top is amazing and the rest of its profile is what's typical from an IS (chocolate, coffee, some molasses/dark fruits). Definitely worth a shot and i'm thinking this will age great.

Based on the brews I've been having, figured this was appropriate...

    Cheers BA!!
