the philly beer week website is kind of annoying and doesn't even have funky booty listed as a brewery on there to search for events.
Does anyone know if any other bars BESIDES MONKS is tapping the Key Lime Berlinerweiss?

Unfortunately, I do not. The only other bars I know of that are doing any Funky Buddha Berliner-Weisses are Devil's Den tonight (Raspberry) and Capone's tomorrow (Pineapple).

If anyone is interested in making a trade at Capones, I am interested in trying to get a 2012 Hunah to continue my vertical. Have Kabert, Westy (different vintages of Gold Cap), ISO:FT collab of Bruery/CCB, Upland Kiwi, Southamption RIS, 2007 Goose Bourbon & St Lam or Fou-Foune. Also would be interested in a bottle of Mimosa and could discuss Still Nacht 2005, 2008 Goose Bourbon, New Glarus Bourbon Kriek, de Cam Kriek. For really ambitious like Blabaer, could discuss Beat Batch #3, BA 110k+OT Batch 2 (449 bottles made)

Agreed that Delilah's is boss. Not that I've been there recently. *shifty eyes* Last time I was there was 2 years ago, and they had a Long Trail event...which was basically the dude from Long Trail standing there with bottles of his beer and barely (lolz) anyone paying attention to him. But hey, at least he tried. As of then, they didn't have beer on tap. Agreed that there should be a heterosexually oriented place like this though for my bachelor compadres. Cheers to Woody's for doing what they do though.

The wife and I will be at Capone's tomorrow, so see youz there. Anyone bringing anything to share? I might break out something from the cellar or fridge if there's any sharing going on.

F the Key Lime Lauren. Funky Booty is good, but they don't even make the best Berliners in Florida.

I might go to Capone's tomorrow but Monk's do have the best tap lineup. But we shall see.

LOL!!! In fact I did. I got over there right around 3:30 and the place was packed (thank God I didn't get there any later). I ended up having to stand the entire time (no big deal), that's how jammed the place was.

I have NEVER seen any place going through the pliny the way Teresa's was last night. Even folks who probably normally wouldn't order it, were last night, because of the $2 a glass special. It was almost to the point where they could have had one bartender just standing by the pliny tap, pouring nothing but non-stop glasses of pliny.

Got 3 tulip glasses of pliny and a glass of exportation, and just stared at my bill when it arrived. $8 total for 4 glasses of great beer (turns out tax was included in the cost). Just amazing...

for anyone attending - the raspberry was pouring REALLY foamy last night at devils den so it was kind of a mess to get one...seemed like the bartenders were having a hard time with it. hopefully they all arent like that but i wouldnt be surprised.

the beer was fantastic..very tart but still so much jammy raspberry flavor. im psyched for the passion fruit one again, that might have been the best berliner i've ever had.

Don't bother bringing ANYTHING to share at Capone's. Was there yesterday and Angel brought down the hammer. Nothing from outside. Period. After they had to call the police on someone during the Younger event that got shitfaced without ever being served a tap beer, it's just not going to be allowed any more. We're going in for the 4 Funky Buddha offerings, hang out for a bit, then going to drink our own shit at home. It sucks, but I can understand where they're coming from. Again...I do not recommend you bring in your own bottles, unless you want to do it just to get a rise out of the staff.

You speak the truth. This issue has been discussed previously and you hit the nail on the head here. Drink Matt's beer!

Good to know. I figured it was only a matter of time before that kind of thing got out of hand.

Nice event yesterday. It seemed to take a while to get the pours out to everyone at first but the Pineapple Berliner was foaming like crazy. Great job Matt and his team, it looked like everyone was able to get what they wanted to taste. The Ginger IPA was a bit over the top for me, but all the others were incredible.

Great event yesterday indeed. I thought Last Snow was the best porter I've had. I liked it even more than Victory at Sea. Simply excellent. I don't know about others, but my pour of No Crusts was awesome. It separated into two distinct layers. A nice jam like flavor up top, with a distinct peanut butter sublayer. The Pineapple Berliner was excellent. I could have had that all day. The Ginger IPA had a brilliant nose, and even a decent taste. Simply didn't care for the finish. Overall, I was extremely impressed. Good beer with the usual good bunch of people.

I never like when they do a shift change as soon as an event starts but it ended up going ok. I noticed a few people seated at tables having trouble getting what they wanted but in the end I think everyone got a taste of what they came for. I didn't care for the ginger IPA...it had a strange medicinal taste to it...probably just too strong on the ginger but a lot of people loved it. I personally couldn't get enough of the Last Snow porter...best porter I have ever had, even better than Block 15 chocolate porter which I didn't think could be possible. No Crusts was ok but overhyped...it's a gimmick beer which is fine but ultimately not that great. Had to keep stiring it to keep it from turning into a Jello 1-2-3 and to get the flavors to stay together. The pineapple was AWESOME and I'm sure the others at Monk's today will be great. Kudos to Funky Buddha for bringing these tasty and limited brews up to Philly!

We initially got there around 5:15, realized it would be a mess, and decided to come back a little later. Got back in around 8ish, and the only things FB that kicked were the porter and berliner...cool, No Crusts for me! It was pretty damn good. Everything I expected. We then knocked off a pint each of Velvet Merlin, and headed for the hills. Good stuff.

Got there at 9 and got No Crusts and Ginger, as well as a few of the week's earlier offerings. Just about closed the place...no crust and ginger may still be there (?)

That's a shame, but I can't say I'm surprised either. Frankly, I figured it was only a matter of time before something like that happened.

It makes me sad though, as over the years, I've been able to try some amazing beers from generous folks during bottle and growler shares at Capone's. Ah well....
