New Glarus upcoming beers and other info

I think it's all in good fun. I don't think a BA thread is going to fuel (or prevent) any type of craziness that could happen. I'm an early riser, and I like that part of the state, so I'll probably be there early no matter what.

Any idea when or If they will formally announce the release?

 

I think they will. Probably the first week of August.

 

Last day for the New Glarus Beer Vote.

For those that are curious, it was in July this year, versus August last year (EDIT: and in 2012). Not sure why they moved it.

 

They have typically announced it the week of the release.

Last year the release was 8/9-8/11, and they announced on 8/5.

EDIT: in 2012, it was announced on the 6th, released on the 9th-12th

 

WTF! It is closed and I completely missed it this year. Why didn't anyone post it here?

Confirmed with the brewery that the New Glarus GTOM weekend release will be Peach.
Enough for 750 people to get 2 bottles each day Fri-Sun - 2/person. Let the hysteria begin!

GOOD! I was hoping it would be a bigger release so I might actually have a shot at drinking one! :-)

 

I'll be there with about 18 homeless dudes/mules. The best part is, I can trade them oz for oz with something much cheaper.

 

This rumor seems more plausible than others I've heard up to this point, including all those published on various "beer experts' " blogs.

I wouldn't be surprised to see leftovers on Monday at 4500 bottles. Not sayin' it's gonna happen, just saying.

 

Anybody know if we are allowed to share some bottles as we wait? Perhaps even bring a grill and some brats?

 

This would be great! I'm in this for drinking and cellaring, and for sending a few to buddies on the West Coast, but don't particularly care for the trade value.

 

With thag many bottles available this should be a real chill release! Would also like to know if any shares are going on, I busted a bottle open last year but not sure if an open share is allowed...
