Thirsty Dog is making great stuff. Expect great things as they continue to expand.

Since when is Barktoberfest not a crowd favorite? I know it's not barrel aged or a specialty beer of any sort but it's by no means an unpopular beer.

Agree 100%. Once the leaves turn, temperatures drop, and we head into fall I'll start itching for pumpkin beers. I just can't get on board this early in the year.

To me, its like drinking eggnog in June. But by all means drink away!

    Barktoberfest isn't a pumpkin beer. It's a Märzen.

Yes, which means its still too damn early to drink it.

I usually crack open my first of the year Labor Day Weekend.

I am a beer drinker who doesn't give a rat's ass about seasonal creep. Unless a beer is made with a harvest-sensitive ingredient like pumpkin (no old-ass canned pumpkin for me, thankyouverymuch) then it doesn't matter to me when a beer is released. I can't think of any time of the year it wouldn't be okay to drink a fresh marzen.

Lost the Thirsty Dog in Dayton Ohio a few years ago.....excellent restaurant and great brewery. Some day need to make the pilgrimage. The Siberian Knight is the little ladies favorite.....miss the 6 packs of it for the same price.

Never had Thirsty Dog but the thought of good beer going to waste . . . :slight_frown:. But thank God no one was hurt.

Thank you fine sir! We all can make beer jokes about the situation, but this is the realist comment ever. Beer can be replaced. Humans, not so lucky.

I actually sorta agree with this IF its a year round beer. If you are going to make a seasonal Marzen, then I want to drink it in Sept/Oct/Nov and so I would prefer it not hit the shelves in July.

Bob, after hearing, "hey, just put that in the back of my car, ha ha ha," for the umpteenth time, lost all concentration and tragedy ensued.

I spent a short time as a cop and through that, my training and internships, this is the most horrific accident I have seen...or something.
