That's the answer I was hoping for! I'm not completely adversed to bud light and/or Coors light...it'll be a trip down memory lane!

Good Bourbon is the key to drinking mediocre beer. Or gin, I love Martinis, or Tequila shots , or....

Need some Knob Creek small batch single barrel, 120 proof Kentucky Dynamite. Really great stuff seriously $50 or so a bottle, I don't kid about bourbon.

I experienced this during a 133 day beer streak. Most of my beers of the day were IPAs/IIPAs/3xIPAs. I panicked when Torpedo started tasting like malty tea, I couldn't taste the hops at all. I immediately switched to some good malty, german beers and simple lagers and I've balanced back out.
    Good luck.

    Dear Desperate,
If your elbow still bends and you can still grasp a glass, can or bottle your drinking problem is only in your mind. Quit blaming the weather for your lack of willpower. Start mixing it up regardless of the outside temperature, turn the AC down fer christsakes or move to the Pacific Northwest where every month is good for a -Bal RIS. People like you don't deserve good beer, next thing you'll start whining about is that your Heddy Topper is over four weeks old! You make Abby sick! Man up! Tongue Is a little tired? Oh you poor baby! Sand that sucker down with a Black and Decker belt sander, what the Hell do you think power tools are for? Wishing you a speedy recovery, Best Wishes, Abby

    DIA-
I say go on a vodka/soda binge for 30 days. Nothing blander than that. All those amazing hops will be dancing around your mouth after this. And you'll probably save a ton of $$$. A handle of Smirnoff is dirt cheap.

    Dear Desperate in Albany,

Switching it up every once in a while benefits your palate IMO. I was on an IPA/DIPA kick for a while and felt the same way. I then moved onto wheat beers. Now im onto stouts of all types. Soon i'll be switching to Marzens and Pumpkin beers. You can always switch back to IPAs when your little heart and palate desire.

    Sincerely,

    Concerned in Baltimore

I had to take a break from IPAs too right now after a bunch of crazy trade hauls. I've been drinking a lot of Westbrook Gose/White Thai at BBQs and stuff lately. Seem to be leaning towards almost anything that's not IPA.
